We're going later this month and are looking fwd to our first trip to Vero Beach. We'll be there over New Year's and are hoping for a shuttle launch while we're down there.

We're going the first weekend in June and can not wait! Wanted to know what is the best way to get ther from MCO? I was looking on google maps, and the A1A looks like a beautiful road to drive down.

For us A1A is the way to go. Takes a bit longer, but the drive is sooo much better than the major highway. You get to see a lot of the ocean and inter-coastal waterway on your drive down.

Boy... I've been hoping for years to hook up with their schedule... just has never worked out for me. Sounds like January 2, 3, 4 is most likely next launch date. Good luck. From what I understand it is very heavy traffic to head north towards KSC, but is still pretty impressive to see from VB. Be sure to have your camera ready so you can give us the VB view of a launch. That is, if you watch from VB.

We were already planning to go to KSC one day while we're down in Vero Beach, but if we could get tix to a launch, that would be so amazingly awesome! I'm watching the KSC site to see when tickets will become available. But yeah, we'll be close enough that we can watch from Vero. Maybe Santa will bring me that digital video recorder I've been wanting!

We are going to be there for New Years Eve and when we heard the launch was delayed, we thought we might finally time it right. No such luck the KSC web site target date is now January 10th Oh well we are still in Florida and going to KSC anyway, maybe we will get to see the shuttle on the launch pad. More reason to plan more trips down.
