Vero Beach question

I'm going to Vero Beach in oct. and i received a letter from Dianey stating that there is refurbishmnet going on and there will be scaffolding around the resort. They wrote to apologize for the inconvenience. Now, I requested an Ocean view, does anyone know about this and do you think that my view will be obstruced by scaffolding. Any info would be great so I can change my ressie.

Well, as I recall, when the BWV had scaffolding on the outside of the building I do not believe the views were disturbed. I am not even sure if this is something that could be answered for you before they start the process. I would think they would work on certain buildings at a time, though and not the entire resort. Might be worth asking MS about that...

I agree... Though it's a possibility, I wouldn't be too concerned...

The big worry would be if they told you the pool was going to be closed..

Can I ask a dunb question, where in the world do you even go to book teh vero bech resort thru disney. I look and look and can never find it, the few times i have searched it on expedia and such it says not available. Is there a special online site or can this only be done by phone??? Id really like to experience one night there (at least) but its a little pricey so one night may be all..lol

You should be able to call CRO to book Vero Beach. Of course, if you were booking using DVC points, you would call MS in that case.

After the hurricanes in 04 they had scoffolding up, but the parts that did create a room obstruction were never in one place for more than a day. They seemed to be pretty cautious about that.
