My DSIL lives in Barefoot Bay(about 15 minutes more inland from VB) and she just got the "knock on the door" to evacuate. She was ready though, and had been all packed the night before.

Very scary stuff! My thoughts are with all the people on the southeast coast. My dad lives in Punta Gorda and was devastated by Charlie.

My MIL is in Port Charlotte and was hit pretty hard by Charley but not devasted. Friends in Orlando were without power for a week and are preparing to get hit again by Frances. Local news is urging folks in Orlando to evacuate if they can as all the trees and debris which are still down will become missiles as Frances blows through.
