Vero Beach lockoff vs dedicated 2BR

Hello everyone-

I am in a quandry. My family and are taking some friends to Vero Beach from July 19-July 22. However, due to the friends not confirming quickly enough that they would be attending, we have ended up in a 2BR lockoff on the night of the 7/19 and then a dedicated 2BR for 7/20 & 7/21. I have waitlisted for a dedicated 2BR for 7/19 and then another waitlist for a lock-off for 7/20 & 7/21 with hopes that one will come through and then cancel the other. I have been on the 7/19 waitlist since December but just got on the 7/20-7/21 waitlist recently.

Which is more likely to come through?

The pros for 7/19 is that I have been on the waitlist longer and hopefully closer to the top and also it is only for one night. The con is that it is a Thursday which is a cheaper night points wise and therefore may be in greater demand.

The pros for the 7/20-7/21 is that they are the more expensive nights and therefore may not be in as great of a demand. The con is that being a two-night block it will be harder to match than just one night. We are also further down any waitlist for this combination.

I probably already know the answer to this but here it is anyway. Would there happen to be anyone out there who has reservations on these nights that might be willing to change to the opposite type of 2BR? And does MS allow this type of switch or would another member at the top of the waitlist automatically get the available room?

Please dont flame me as this is just an attempt to evaluate my options and not to cheat anyone out of their desired room.

I feel your pain. In the June dates I am looking at the open days alternate between LO and Dedicated. I don't really know what to do at this point.

Well there are twice as many 2-br lock-off's as there are dedicated. Each of the 3 buildings has 3 floors, and each floor has 4 2-br lock-off's and 2 2-br dedicated.
fwiw, the 2 2-br lock-offs toward the front have the best views, then the 2 2-br lock-offs on the sides toward the front, and lastly the 2 2-br dedicated on the sides toward the back.
