I just got off the phone with a rep with DVC and was told Vero Beach was sold out (did this just happen I guess). The only reason I ask is Doc said there were some great incentives going on (up to $15-I assume per point) did you mean resale Doc or did the girl not know what she spoke of). No matter, I'm having info sent on the Saratoga Springs resort.

Thanks!

Yeah, I think the announcement was in the VM and on the member website I want to say in September that Vero was sold out.

I asked a couple of months ago about another add on at VB and was told it was sold out for my use year (April) and also others too, so it could have sold out completely by now.

Just spoke to a DVC guide today and the only month available at VB is October. Roughly 6000 pts left.

A new member can get $15 of at $69 pt if he sells back the 1st years pts............or can get the pts now with $10 off incentive for $74 a pt.

We just turned down a 150 pt add on at VB.

We were offered the incentive choices of $10 in "Vero Dollars" for every point (we keep current year pts) or $15 MB (we sell back the current year's pts)

I feel like an idiot for saying no but we thought we were moving and MIL had a stroke, etc. so we just didn't think it was the right time.

We are current members, though. I don't know where those 150 pts went. I assume that they could sell them to anyone.

We have an April use year.

Let me know if you need more info.

This message is still on the member's site:
Disney's Vero Beach Resort is nearly sold out!
Hurry to add to your Membership at this magical seaside resort-limited use years are still available! Current price is $84 per Vacation Point, call your Disney Vacation Club Guide today to ask for information about special offers and availability.

As with most things regarding DVC, programs and offers can change without any notice. If you call your guide, asking about a purchase at VB, and are told it's sold out- I'd believe them! Most guides won't trun down a sale- especially to an existing member.

Sounds like SSR is the only show in town! :)

Enjoy!

On Dec 31, we picked up 130 Dec UY points - they were 03 points - we received the $10 discount, paid no mtce fees for the 03 points since 03 was over, received some airline points on the cc used for the purchase and did not pay closing fees. Even with all that driving the net price into the low $60's compared to a resale, there are resale deals out there that are equal or even better.

We just found it easier to go through DVC direct and also as non-US citizens we feel more comfortable not dealing with the potential legalities of a resale in case it went sour (probably not a valid concern but we would rather be safe then have an issue to potentially deal with)

thanks

My sales rep was stationed at Vero, but when they closed the sales center there she was moved to BW. When we visited her about three weeks ago she said that there was still a very limited supply of points left at Vero. I told her I thought I heard Vero was sold out, and she said that it should sell out very soon. She said that most of the sales reps at the BW don't even mention Vero when talking to a prospective buyer, but she always does because of her connection to it. Friends of mine just bought into DVC today on a referal from me. They met with my sales rep and were offered Vero or SSR as their home resort. They are not beach people, and want to use it primarily for WDW so they went with SSR.
