Vero Beach in Oct. 2007

We are planning a vacation to Vero Beach next Oct. We will be needing a 2 bdrm. Will this be difficult that time of year. We can't book until the 7 month mark in March. I am just wondering if I should do a back up at SSR as the 11 month window is fast approaching. TIA

I might also be staying there as well around that time and was wondering what the weather is like. That is Hurricane season so was a little leary aboyut boojking on the coast.

Vero Beach is pretty safe at the 7MM, probably easiest of all resorts. (do ressies day-by-day). It can't hurt anything to do the SSR backup too.

I think October is the optimal month. Water/air temps are still up, but not too hot, hurricane season is winding down, and surf is optimal (especially if there is any disturbance out in the Atlantic). We were there last August (too hot) when Ernesto (the storm that fizzled out) came through. The waves the day before were the best one could hope for on the east coast.

I didn't have any problem booking early Nov, 2 bedroom at the 7 month window. The SSR back up shouldn't be necessary.
