My family and I have been going to Vero for over 28 years. We have a condo on Ocean Drive.........so I was wondering where all of you eat when in Vero. We have our favorite places too. So can anyone give me a heads up on some new places? We are going the week of Easter! TIA.
:D

You'll be helping two families if you answer this post as we are going too in August. Would love to know where we should eat! We really like good seafood!

Ocean Grill

All the restaurants at the resort itself. Sonya's seafood buffet.

Casey's Place for hot dogs, fries and sandwiches. The best!!

Rita's Italian Ice for Dessert.

The restaurant at the Holiday Inn has pretty good food.

Please share -- you are experts in the area! My favorite so far has been the Ocean Grill.

We ate at a place on the ocean, its on the left (same side as Vero) you pull into a parking lot and the restaurant was on the right. It was very nice, kind of rustic/nautical theme going on inside, and they had a very nice gift shop, I think it was called Captain Hirams, but I could be wrong. I also think it was one of the oldest restaurants in the area? Anyone know??thanks

Yep we have eaten there too. We really liked it a lot.
We have eaten at the Ocean Grill also, actually our condo is right next to it. It is somewhat pricey though.

Any other suggestions out there?

I thought Captain Hirams had terrible food when I dined there. The atmosphere was nice, but if you like good seafood and know what it should taste like, this is NOT the place to go.

I have yet to find anywehere I find spectacular in the Vero Beach area, I feel the food at Shutters is good, just overpriced.
