Vero Beach Cottage Availability for VB Owners

I've owned at Saratoga Springs for almost 10 years now and am looking to purchase points at Vero Beach specifically for the ability to rent a Beach Cottage.

I have always been able to get in at the 7 month window to rent any other unit, Studios, 1 and 2 BR, and Inn Rooms, but have never seen a Cottage available at that time.

Is there availability at the 11 month window for the owners to rent? I know there are only 6 units so I just want to be certain that, if I plan that far out, I will be able to get into a Cottage as this is the only reason I am buying at Vero as opposed to another resort.

I've gotten one 3 or 4 times for a 4-5 night stay during the summer. I had been concerned about walking , thinking I could be blocked put, but that has not happened.

I had no problem booking a beach cottage for late June (a few years ago). Booked exactly at 11 months as soon as member services opened.

We own and OKW and BLT but have always wanted to stay at the Beach Cottages. Yesterday, I was able to snag 2 days in August at the 7 month mark. There were four consecutive days available, and two of them are still available this morning.

Enjoy your stay! I'm going to have a cousins time in 2017, and have given my cousins a BC option or something at HHI. We do own at both.

I added on almost 200 VB points years ago for the exact same reason, Metropawn. I have not had issues booking Beach Cottages (and they are fabulous!!) at the 11 month window. I have been able to book them at less than 11 mos. a few times but certainly not at peak demand times.

Those are both great options -- can't go wrong with either one.

BTW - I was able to add on another night at the Beach Cottage this morning. Now have three consecutive nights --- and a lot fewer points left
