Vero Beach Condition?

Does anyone know the condition of Vero beach?
I have a friend in FL and she said some buildings were gone in Vero. Does anyone know about the resort?

According to Deb Wills' site, Vero Beach Resort will reopen September 10th (Friday).

I read the same thing on Mousesavers. That's great news for DVC owners . I wonder how the beach area is? There had to be massive erosion. Yikes!

I sure wish the rest of the Vero Beach area, and the rest of Florida for that matter, handled the storm as well. Thousands still in shelters ....how sad. And Ivan churning out there! UGH! Poor Florida.
