OR works for the buyer...or works for the law firm doing the deal....or works for the audit company doing the books, or knows someone who works for one of those companies. But yes, if it does turn out to be true, Goofy has some sort of access to non-public information.

Goofy50. Thank you for clarifying. Not everyone would have the decency to come back and post that they may have been in error. I commend you for that.
Thank you for the retraction and further information on your source. It's great that you reposted the latest information you had available. I can see from your source why you thought your information was valid.Originally posted by goofy50
I have just found out from my source that the news about vero beach being sold is NOT TRUE and its NOT going to be sold. An announcement was supposed to be made at the annual shareholders meeting regarding Vero and Hilton head being sold but never was.

jaysue made a very good point here -
Just because it wasn't announced at the shareholders' meeting doesn't necessarily mean it isn't true. With the media paying such close attention to that meeting, I would think they would only mention GOOD PR, not bad. The selling of VB and/or HH would only show the company as weak and other words come to mind, too...![]()
Once again, I'm not quite sure I understand the source of info here?
Thanks goofy50. Please keep us informed if you hear of anything else.
We had plans to try out VB and HH in summer 2005. I am glad we have options other than WDW to try and I am excited to stay at them both. I have pretty bad luck (Don't take me to Vegas...) so it would figure they would sell before I got the chance to try these resorts. (And yes, I admit my glass is always half empty. Darn it! Somebody want to fill it for me?)
