I thought ME said in his interview with Larry King that Walt's grave was unmarked and few no where it is located.

I seriously doubt this is true, but if it were I wouldn't be surprised if the VB owners were the last to know. After all, OKW owners still don't officially 'know' about the pool slide. But I really would question the validity of this rumor.

The statement about the OKW pool slide doesn't really compare to this, does it? I read that the new president announced the OKW slide at the OKW and BWV members meeting and that there is not a model of the slide available for viewing at OKW. Doc even mentioned he was going to provide some pictures of the model.

Funny how it is the posters first post under that name, isn't it? No location listed, or much of any info in the profile and they just signed up this month on the 27th.

Well, if that's the real Disney grave, then why did Michael Eisner go on and on to Larry King about how the grave was unmarked, and he had to talk his way into getting directions to find it, and how he was proud to have been able to visit it since it was so hidden? Did they put a grave marker in Forest Lawn and then really bury him somewhere else for privacy sake? Now I'm more intrigued than ever....

Back to the OP, Who knows who it is? Maybe it is someone we know from the boards already who heard some insider rumor and afraid or knowing they would get flamed changed their username so they could post what they heard. Ya never know... Not saying I believe, not saying i don't.

My point was made in response to the poster that said Disney wouldn't sell the resort without first announcing it to the entire membership. I agree this rumor in no way would compare to the installation of the pool slide, selling a resort is much more important and serious than a slide. I just meant that Disney hasn't been announcing things to the general membership, so if they did sell a resort it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't make a general announcement right away. The new president may have announced the slide to a select few members but I still think the vast majority is completely unaware of the slide.

The president of DVC didn't announce the sale of Vero at the last members meeting, as he announced the okw slide. I understand a model of it exists at OKW for view. I understood the point, I just didn't think it was good or applicable.

We still have no references or sources from the original poster posting for the first time. Seems that the motivation for posting this unsubstantiated statement as a very first post is in question.

has anyone contacted the resort of DVC to see if there is any truth to this??
