Vero Beach Availability in Early October?

Hi!

I MAY have the opportunity for my first vacation at Vero Beach but I won't know if I can book it until 5-6 month before. What are my chances of getting a Studio Ocean View with 5 month advance notice?

I just booked a 1BR yesterday for that time frame. Why not just book it and in a month or two if you can't use it then cancel.

Well.... October is our favorite month to go to VB, but we have always booked at the 7 month mark. At VB there are Studios and there are Ocean View Inn rooms (OVIR). Very similar in size and layout. The Inn rooms are in the hotel portion of the resort and the studios are in the smaller villa buildings.

If you ask for a studio there is a slight chance you will get to see the ocean. If you want an ocean view then you want an Inn room. The Inn room however, is going to be the more difficult to acquire on short notice.

Maybe you could make reservations at the 7 month mark for a (hopeful) vacation and if the dates don't work out when you get to the 6 to 5 month time frame you cancel and then try again.
