Hi everyone,

Planning our next trip for August and would like to stop in Vero for a few days. How many days is "enough"?
I have a ds (18), dd(13) and ds(11). When will they say they're bored and want to go back to WDW? Lol....
I'm thinking 4 nights....?
Any thoughts are appreciated!

If the turtles are hatching, I'd think everyone would want many days just to get the chance to see a hatching?

There is a Vero Beach thread on the DVC Resorts board that may be helpful to you.

I'm not a good one to answer because I don't have kids to travel with.

DH and I like to go there for a 4 day weekend. Usually arrive on Thursday and leave on Monday. They have a DJ on weekends by the pool and they engage the kids in all the activities.

We've been twice. 7 days and 6 days. My DH actually thinks 4 or 5 would be better.

Just depends on your family. We are from FL so the beach isn't super exciting to us.. as a result, we can really only be at Vero for 2 nights before we're bored. I should add we aren't big pool people either.

For us, Vero is a weekend getaway where we can just lay around, watch movies, not have to clean, cook dinner, etc.

Well unfortunately I tried to book my days at VB but there's no availability. Thanks for all the replies tho. Will try again next year... :-(

We prefer the gulf coast beaches, so three nights at VB was plenty for us. I could see teens gettting bored quickly.

Depends. If you are going to spend your time on the beach, be forewarned that the beach is not nice, in my opinion. At least it wasn't the times that we have been there. Love the resort, though. The ocean view rooms are great.

Sorry to hear that. We were able to get in at 7 months with an OV studio the time that we went. The studio was fabulous and the resort is beautiful but there is NOTHING in VB for kids. We had just spent 7 nights at BCV and tacked on 3 nights at VB. That was about right for us. I think DS was probably about 12 or so when we went on that trip. We are also late diners and had a hard time finding anyplace to eat that was open beyond 9:00. They literally roll up the carpets at night in this town. It was a nice way to unwind after a busy week at WDW but I think 3 nights was plenty in case you ever try again.

Thanks. We r wait listed for VB. We'll see what happens! My husband was really hoping for a few beach days...so we'll hope for some pixie dust!!

We stayed once for three nights - I think 3/4 nights for the first time would be ideal. it was in addition to our WDW stay.

Glad you are on the waitlist. Good luck. End of August is usually a bit easier too I think.

Good luck.
