Vero beach airport to fly in to.

We will be going to Vero beach for first time and was wondering what airport most use to fly in to. We are leaving from Indy and usually fly Southwest. Not going to WDW after just down and back..smjj

People have mentioned Melbourne. I think MCO is probably the best. Ft Lauderdale is further.

West Palm has more non stop flights than Melbourne. My son lives in Bero Beach and uses West Palm. Southwest flies into West Palm.

Orlando works fine. You’ll need to rent a car whichever airport you use, and the added cost of car rental at a smaller airport might offset the small savings of time to fly into one of those. Airfares might also be higher, but that’s easily checked. It’s an easy 90 minute drive to the from MCO to the resort which is actually north of Vero Beach itself in Wabasso.

We flew out of west palm after our trip in August. Was a shorter drive there than back to MCO.

I've used all 3, Orlando, West Palm and Melbourne depending on price, convenience factor and rental cars. Melbourne is closest.
