Vero Beach??? 7 month window question

Hi all:

Just investigating DVC...

How difficult is it to book a studio or inn room at Vero Beach at a 7 month window for June or July?

What level of rooms at VB are toughest to get?

Booked the beginning of June for an OVIR at the 7 month mark or just under, by a few days from date of check out and that was no problem.

We just booked both a 2 bedroom and OVIR for the week starting 6/22.


Day by day, of course.

It's not hard booking Vero at 7 months for a summer stay. That's not peak season, as nobody in their right mind would want to be there then
Seriously, it's hot & humid...one of the worst times to be there.

The only thing that would be tough would be the Beach Cottages, since there are only 6 of them.

Good luck - I've been there during summer vacation and it's not something I'd do again now that the student is 21 years old!

Sure. It would be nice to go when it's not hot and humid, but I'm a teacher and my time off is limited. I can't see going to an oceanside resort over the winter holidays since my kids love the waves.

So, hot and humid summer works for us.

Oh, we also enjoy the Parks in the blazing heat. To each their own.

We will be there too when its hot and humid....Aug. 3-8th. But last year it was 100 degrees ON THE BEACH here in Maryland. So, if I can survive that, Vero will be a piece of cake!!

We have stayed at Vero 5 times in June - and never had an issue getting what we wanted. Have done an ocean view inn room 4x and a 2 bedroom once.

Just booked another ocean view inn room for this coming June as well.

We actually prefer going to Vero in the summer. We were there the last week of July this past summer and didn't mind the heat. The ocean breeze really helps. Plus, chances are you're swimming or walking on the beach where the breeze is more prevalent anyway. We went one year for Thanksgiving and only swam once and had to wear pants and sweatshirts. That wasn't enjoyable to us at all. So those of you that prefer to avoid the heat really help us that don't mind!! We own at Vero, though, so I can't speak for the ease of booking at 7 months.....sorry.

We have been a couple of times over Spring Break and never had any trouble getting what we wanted at 7 month. We had OVIR last year and this year we had a 1bdrm. NO problems. Good Luck. It is a great resort. We love to go there for some R & R

Just called yesterday to try for the second week in July, only rooms available were the OVIR and reg IN. My brother was thinking we'd all be squished without the extra space, so we just booked 2 OVIRs. And as I look outside at the 4 inches of snow that fell last night, 100 degrees and sunshine sound WONDERFUL!!!
