Vero Beach 2015 Information & Adoration Thread

We are staying at VB 18-22 August 2015. Do I need to call ahead to make reservations for lounge chairs/umbrellas to use on the beach? If so, do you know how far ahead they can be reserved? I've not been here before, and I know cabanas at the resort pools in WDW typically have to be reserved quite far ahead of time, so I wasn't sure if this was the same situation. Thanks!!

You don't need to call ahead to reserve lounge chairs and umbrellas. They are provided by a non Disney concession located at the top of the ramp that leads to the beach.

Does anyone know if the cash room inventory and points room inventory are the same or different.?
I guess what I'm asking is, if I book three nights on points and two nights cash in a one-bedroom
is there a chance I can stay in the same room.
I spent a half hour on the phone with MS today and they could not find an answer for me.
I know at many resorts the inventory is separate, but with so few rooms I was hoping it was possible.
I also thought it was strange that I could book a room on-line but MS could not book the cash room for me.
I currently have April 18-21 booked in an Inn Room and April 21-24 in a one-bedroom.
If I could stay in the same room I was going to pay cash for the 19-21 for a one-bedroom.
As of right now it is still available on the VB website.

When do they start taking reservations for the Saturday Character Breakfast and/or Sunday Brunch? Is it at 180 days like WDW? Can you do reservations online or do you have to call?

I believe the CM on WDW Dine number said that it's 60 day, sorta like DLR. I have the same dilemma for our Aug. trip..

They will *try* to keep you in the same room, but you will have to remind them of your situation when you get to the resort and check in. We have done this before and are doing it again this year. Five nights on points in a 1 bdrm and 2 nights cash. When we have done it in the past they were able to keep us in the same room, but someone (DH) had to go down to the front desk and basically check out and back in since technically it is two separate reservations.

Just booked our first trip with an exchange through RCI for a 1bd the week of April 11. DS4 and DS2 are going to have a blast.

Nice photo. Was that from yesterday? I am going to Vero Beach from 3/9-3/14. I was hoping to see how the beach was looking after refurbishment. Does anyone have photos? Thanks!

Our dates are finally set.
We will be in an Ocean View Inn room April 19-21
And switch to a 1-bedroom April 21-25
Thinking of doing the Culinary Magic event on Tuesday April 21st if they have it.
It is our Anniversary!
