Verizon Phone Service in the Parks

We will be in the parks the week of Aug 17th. I would like to know if Verizon Phone Service works in the parks. My two sons want some freedom and we will have our Verizon cell phones. Has anyone used Verizon in the parks?

Mine worked good on our last trip. We had not used Verizon before then but it sure worked better than Alltel.

Just got back yesterday and used Verizon to communicate and they worked great!!! Have a great time!!!!

my brother and me used verizon and had no prblems. my mother on the other hand had cingular and we could never get her always her voice mail.

Jaycee--I have Cingular and returned July 3rd. My cell phone worked great. The only problem I had was in MGM if I was in tight quarters around a lot of tall things. Brother and sister also had problems in MGM with T-Mobile and Sprint. If we just moved a bit, things worked fine.

I've never had any problems in the parks with T-Mobile. AT&T works well also.

Was there in May and even called my uncle (verizon) in GA while riding "It's a Small World" so he could get the annoying song stuck in his head and the call was crystal clear even in the middle of the ride!!

Calling from Small World - what a hoot! Why didn't I think of that?

The phone worked fine in the parks and MOST of greater Orlando, on network. The only place I had a problem with Verizon was on the far western edge of Orange Lake Country Club in Kissimmee....ooo, what a roaming charge that was. (and that was June 2002, could be better by now.)
