Verizon DSL question

Has anyone tried the Verizon DSL with MSN 8 deal for 34.95?
I am about to order it but I want to get some feedback from anyone who has it. Why is it so much cheaper than all the other DSL's? Does DSL go down a lot?

I just got the Sprint high speed DSL and I'm only paying $39.99 a month, so that's not to far off pricewise. Verizon is probably offering a lower price to compete with Sprint and cable companies. So far, I haven't had any down time with the DSL. It's absolutely wonderful and I wish I had done it a long time ago!

Yes that's what I have, but I also have their pkg deal (variations freedom) which gives me the Verizon DSL for 29.99 a month!

It's been pretty great so far!

We have verizon DSL and LOVE IT. Its not the MSN combo though... we pay 39.99/month but its still cheaper than internet service and a second phone line.

We got verizon dsl back in Feb and got the msn 8 add on back in May. I really love it! MSN (alone) had many technical issues but I haven't had any problems with them now that they are teamed together. I like all the features they have added with the email, they have Encarta built in, a photo editor as well and cute little smilies and stationary you can use with email. I have the variations package and it is $29.99 per month. Without the package, it is $34.95. Well worth it!!

We have Verizon DSL and have had no problems--I already had an ethernet card in my computer and installed the DSL myself in a matter of minutes. Originally it was supposed to be $49.99 after three free months, but a few months ago they dropped the price to $17.45/month--less than what our dial-up was costing!
