Great pics! I always forget to go to the website at the right time on Sat. Now I finally got to see the Magic leaving.

Mark: Excellent job!! I guess he won't need my one still shot of the Magic going past Two Palms. lol

Hey better all of us try and get it, I think he'd be really bummed if he didn't have one :)

Thanks for the pics.
I went to get on the Computer to get them, and there was a problem with the phone line, due to another storm coming through.

Ok, I did reply by pm to someone on this already, but maybe an answer here would be better. :)

Here's a mini tutorial on making up animated gif's:
Step 1 : Find some webspace to store them on. Some internet providers do provide a limited amount of 'personal storage' space or such. Get familiar on how to put files in there and how to link them ex: the top image is http://monorailgreen.info/PortCamAnim.gif Your internet provider should have instructions somewhere on how your webpace works.

Step 2: I use a professional graphics program called Paint Shop Pro. It has the ability to create graphics, do cut and pastes and most importantly here, mutiple screen captures. For me to capture individual images off the cams is literally a 1 click deal. So I simply watch and each time the images changes, click.

Step 3: Now, once I have them all captured, I save them, then go thru and crop them down to the exact same size to prepare them for the next step.

Step 4: Animated gifs. PSP incudes a subprogram called... the animation studio... big surprise, hm? Once I have all the cropped images, it's just a matter of assembling them in the right order and setting up how fast to show them. Now I have something good to upload.

Step 5: the easiest, all it is once you know where the file is out on the net, just click the little img button above the posting box and put the link in and you're done :)

Mark, you make it sound so easy. I copied these instructions. I just have to try this sometime.

Thanks

Ursula

I've done some similar animated GIFs using a package from Ulead call (I believe) GIF Animator. I got it in the bargain bin for $2 at Best Buy. The hardest part for me is capturing the images from twopalms. Sometimes I miss a frame or two and that leads to jerky animations. Still, it's a lot of fun and I recommend that everyone give it a try.

WOW, Thanks everyone and especially you Mark for doing this!!!

My family and I were on deck 10 on the starboard side of the ship getting quite wet as we were sailing up the channel, those drops of water on my face, were not raindrops, by the way!!!

It was truly a "MAGICal" week from beginning to end!!!
