anyone planning to check this out? wonder if its worth the drive.

We visited the Vera Bradley outelt in Aurora recently and were pleasantly shocked at the awesome prices, tons of patterns, and great deals. The day we were there if you spent $60 you got an extra percentage off, as well as an extra percentage off your most expensive bag with a membership to the outlet mall's premiere club (free on-line). We got my MIL SEVEN bags for her retirement gift, mostly travel items and spent around $150. It was a great deal!

I plan on visiting but probably not until July. It's about 3 hrs for me, I think. Any details anyone has; I'd love to hear them!

We went on opening day. They were giving 25% off your total purchase that day, so we got some really good deals. I thought a lot of their prices compared to the sale prices online. The backpack was $55, that was the same as the sale price last week when I was looking at one online. Some were a bit less. There were no new patterns except for bag styles that are being changed (i.e. they had the Hipster in the new black & white pattern). There was a clearance section in the back that had some deep discounts. I went with my 2 DDs and we spent WAY more than we will let DH know! I did get 4 birthday gifts while we were there. I thought the store was really nice, so pretty to walk into all that Vera! We will definitely be going back. It is only a half hour drive for us though.

I was there yesterday and didn't go to Vera Bradley; I just ran in and out to hit J.Jill, but they were certainly advertising it all over the outlets. I may go back tomorrow if I'm bored and if I do I'll report back.

I was also there for opening day....the 25% off everything for that day made everything sooo tempting, but I was there on a mission and budget and I actually stuck to it! LOL! The store is awesome-like a PP said, the prices are similar to what you see on the website for the sale/clearance prices. I got 2 teacher gifts for my DD's teachers-a bucket tote (reg. $58/outlet price $29 and then another 25% off) for 1 teacher and a Let's Do Lunch bag and blank card set for the other teacher....

I can see me making many future visits there.... :rotfl:

I was there last night. The store is amazing for a vera lover. It is a good size and so pretty when you walk in with all the colors. The 25% off is good through this Sunday then it is back to the regular outlet prices. I live around the corner and go to the outlets a lot, I can see myself in there a lot.

I think I am going there today, what area of the mall is it in? Thanks!

sounds good!! I will definitely be going:thumbsup2

it's a really bad sign that I want to drive there before Sunday just for the extra 25% off, lol

Can't say that I blame you. When are you going to see these prices again for Vera? :thumbsup2

Although just so you know, they do not have every pattern in stock. They do have a ton of merchandise though. Plenty for a Vera fan to choose from.

OK, I went today! It wasn't mobbed, but steady. I am sure the weekend will be packed with the sale ending soon!

Here is what I got for about $140

2 Villager bags for my Mom (Reg $72, outlet $45, sale $34 each)
Libby bag (Reg $58, sale $15!)
Checkbook cover
Small Cosmetic Bag
All in one wristlet
Ditty bag for DD (Reg $25, sale $11)
Thank you notes

Oh, and how could I forget.... a Lanyard for my photopass! ($4.50)

Ohhhh boy! Last time I was up there I saw the "Coming Soon" sign!

I am tapped out this week - so unfortunate! Not to mention I have no possible way to make it up there before Sunday!

Darn it!

I was there today too! I got a TON of teacher gifts. I thought the store was laid out very well and the staff was very helpful.

this is making me want to go BAD!! I think I know what I am doing this weekend!

the really bad part for me even considering it, is it's Father's Day weekend and DBF's bday Sat. Like he'd want to spend 6 hrs in the car so I can get some Vera. Maybe I could do it Fri after work. And to think 2 mos ago, I didn't even think I liked VB! This site is dangerous, I tell you.

I was there Tuesday night and again tonight, Thursday. The outlets are always very quiet weeknights and tonight was no different. You can walk around and sometimes feel like you are the only one there. That is until I got to the VB store. It was pretty busy, the saleswoman said it has been a constant flow of people since they opened.

The sales are great and people seem to be buying teacher gifts, christmas gifts, etc.

The 25% ends on Sunday. It is well worth the trip. :thumbsup2

I can tell living so close to the outlets is going to be expensive. It never was before but that was before one on my favorite stores opened up.

I'm going to wait it out lol I can't help it they just opened a store in south shore plaza its like hrm drive 10 mins or drive 45. My sister went and said they had great stuff for retired patterns and a few newer patterns in retired styles. But while she was there a gave a her a list of things I wanted and not a single one there. For what its worth local vera store has a deal that if you spend 75$ they give you 20$ cert for next purchase.
