Vera Bradley lovers... help would be appreciated!

Have you looked at the VB Miller bag? It's probably bigger than you need for a diaper bag, but it zips closed, and inside it has 6 nice sized slip-in pockets (plus another slip pocket on the outside). I love those inside pockets.

how on EARTH did I forget about the Miller Bag?! It would be perfect for a diaper bag!! Good suggestion!!! It zips and everything! There are several Miller Bag video reviews on YouTube!!

I've actually never purchased a VB on ebay and only recently started looking b/c the bag I'm interested in isn't in stores or online anymore. I get easily frustrated w/ ebay b/c the bidding gets crazy and I wonder why people bother b/c the prices get so high and there are 30 some bids. I can't take the drama! I'm a much more straightforward type. There are usually a lot of "buy it now" options but usually at prices that are just silly!!




Y'know,now that I think about it...my friend who loves her pleated tote so dearly has said that she is glad it zips...for some reason I always thought it was an open top. Apparently I am a bad listener...



Okay SO...back from the VB store!! They were giving out cute little water bottles with the four already released new colors. I was hoping for a boysenberry but a little pony tailed scamp in front of me grabbed the last one. I thought about challenging her to a throwdown...I'm a pony tailed scamp myself...but I'm sorta scrawny...so I settled for a Blue Lagoon water bottle instead. I just can't get enough of this store! They even have a "husband chair" !!! Seriously...husbands can sit whilst their wives say "What about this one? Or that one...OH, or what about...OHMYGOSH THAT IS SO CUTE!!!" So fun. Favorite store EVER!

So I DID get my hands on an On The Go tote. The one I got a hold of had a really long strap and it was no problem cross body. Maybe the straps are longer on the newest version? The pockets on the sides are indeed too small for much of anything....sorta throwaways...and I think I would take the cardboard bottom out if I was going to make it into a park bag. It's not very big. So the cargo sling has pockets big enough for say...a diet coke bottle? That might give the Cargo sling the edge!!

I'm telling you...Boysenberry doesn't look all that thrilling online, but in person it really IS a great color. It's not too obnoxious, it's not too busy...it's just right. I don't tend to gravitate towards purple either...but this one just works!! The weekender really is a great bag. I heart mine! Also, if you are looking for a bag with a protective lap top sleeve...the Laptop Backpack has a full zip compartment for the laptop with two sleeves. I had no choice but to buy that one...seriously...it was massively, ridiculously on sale.

And just to add to your choosing options, the "super tote" is also available online...a lot like the miller bag, but available in colors that are all but extinct...like Mod Floral Pink.

Deciding on the color is the hard part! Let us know what you decide, if you get it! I don't know what pattern this is that I posted a picture of, but I really like it on the Miller bag.

I've had good luck (so far) buying VB on eBay. The Buy It Now prices are sometimes ridiculous, I agree, but there are some good deals to be had if you like to get into the bidding wars (I love that part lol!). I prefer to buy NWT on eBay, but I bought a couple of pre-owned/new condition bags an they are very nice too.

I did go to a VB retailer and saw the Lizzie in person-- LOVE it! Definitely might be purchasing in Baroque...or perhaps, if I can wait, Mocha Rouge!

The Lizzie looks really cute! I wanted to buy it for a Disney park bag, but it's too small for my camera stuff.

I am in the process of washing the 2 VB bags I bought used on eBay. They looked fine, but I still wanted to wash them. I hope I'm not fading them out. I washed them twice, once regular and once inside out. I am washing on cold/delicate cycle, then hanging them dry, so hopefully they will be okay. Which inspired me to wash a few of my old VB bags, too But I really prefer the crispy new with tags, so I think that's all I will buy on eBay from now on.

I think the pattern is Peacock. I do like it but it is sold out online. I might go for the Cupcakes Green??

Probably, but I don't think I'd like it as a diaper bag. If it's the tote I am thinking of, it's kind of deep, and it doesn't have any inside pockets. That is a great deal though!

Also remember that deals and sales will continue to come out as new patterns and bags are released. They have to make room for the new stuff! The bag you want may be the next bag to go on sale! Isn't the anticipation fabulous?!

I need some cheer. Just in time for the first day of spring I woke up to snow and a fever. awesome. Found out two kids I work with have the flu.

Come on VB just give me an excuse to drown my sniffles and fevered brow in retail therapy!!!!!

I'm hoping that it's the Lizzy because I have my eye on that in Watercolor. Usually you get something free like a wallet and they do have good prices. I like to pick my pattern though-so I'll have to see how good of a deal it really is!

I just got started on Vera Bradley. DH had purchased a lot of gift cards from Great Wolf Lodge during their 'spend x amount & get $10 bonus bucks' deal. So, we enjoyed spring break at GWL with family during spring break. We bought breakfast, pizza, and a cake, but still had bonus bucks left. DH didn't know what to spend them on, so I took the plunge & bought a Vera Bradley purse & wristlet.

I have my DVR set...just to see everything!! I don't buy from QVC very often, but sometimes they have GREAT deals. Other times the deals are just...meh. You have to catch them at the right time!!

I'm really excited for the new drawstring bag. It's so different from anything they've done before. I love cross body bags b/c they are so great for traveling and such..."park bags". I have family all over the place, in Ireland, Texas on the West Coast...so I travel a lot, which gives me an awesome excuse to buy travel bags!!! ("travel bag" is code for "I want that bag and need to justify buying it!")

and since I'm still sick with a fever I'm feeling very sorry for myself and a new bag would make me feel loads better!!! *sniffle*

When do you think they will put the Boysenberry stuff on sale? I am feeling the need to own something in that color! I'm not sure how long it's been out. Is it too soon for them to retire it (and mark it 25% off in the stores)?
