Sounds like a lazy professional student and his lousy attitude stems directly from his mother. Nothing you can do but avoid them in the future. He won't change b/c he is fed his info from his mother.

I agree his behavior was bad.

I just kind of wonder, why were you eating dinner at his campus dining hall? Back when I went to college, I lived on campus for three years and NEVER saw a student's family eating there. Quite honestly, I would have been horrified.

Doesn't excuse his behavior, but I'm really curious whose idea the dining hall was.

We eat there because we can eat for FREE. Very common to see parents in there.

As far as your cousin's visit, I would just take it was escorting your 90yo grandma to see her grandson at college. While he was an ungrateful horse's behind, I am sure this was nothing new.

He still has 2 1/2 years left just for his bachelor's. He took two years off after high school, did not work or do much of anything, because my Aunt wanted him to wait for his sister so they could attend the community college together. He is not that great of a student and is on academic probation. He does not work, never has had a job of any kind and my Aunt will not let him live off campus.

We eat there because we can eat for FREE. Very common to see parents in there.

No it was nothing new but it was escalated yesterday. If someone asked him in the past to help out he would but yesterday he started with the talking back.

I am glad we could take my Grandma as she loves all of her grandkids but she even said on the phone this morning that he was acting like a brat and until he changes she will not do anything extra for him.

So the uncle is big gigantic enabler who has no guts? I say on Easter dinner, just go Madea on the aunt and you will probably get a standing ovation from other family members. Too bad ungrateful boy doesn't understand what family is.

My Uncle just likes to pretend nothing is going on. He justs kind of tunes out what my Aunt does. It is sad because when I was little he was one of my favorite family members. Always making us laugh but since he has started taking a backseat to everything he is not the same guy.

I agree. You take a kid off campus to eat! Also, this is finals week and everyone came for the day? I know kids who were rushing out of church this am due to the need to study today. It seems a weird time to visit.

Not excusing poor behavior. But did you all ask him if it worked for him to visit?

I wouldn't be wasting any more of my precious time visiting him, cousin or not.

As I said before he wanted us to come yesterday. We had been planning it for a few weeks. Finals are not until next week and he was perfectly okay with it. He liked the fact that he had something to do Easter weekend since he was not coming home nor going any place else like his sister did, she went with friends to their house for dinner.
