Vent!!!! UPDATE: Problem Solved!

Yes they do darling! (800) 951-3532

Thanks but that number is for Disney CRUISE LINE only. I need a room on land.

And 800-828-0228 is not valid and tells you to call (407)828-8101 or go online, LOL.

The winner is: 877-939-3732 but they are currently unable to take my call.

Thanks again everyone!! :goodvibes

The 800-828-0228 used to work up until a few months ago. All the sudden it quit working. There was a whole thread on the TP&A board about and that's where I got the updated number of 877-939-3732. Sorry they are unable to take your call. I guess they are all having dinner with Mickey right now!

1-877-939-3732 DOES work - I JUST called it

I JUST spoke with someone - I was on hold MAYBE 3-4 minutes

Someone mentioned firefox being problematic, but depending on your version of IE it can also have problems. The newest firefox works for me, IE often gets so much junk added onto it that it can get extremely buggy, conversley some corporations hire devs from the 20th century who are morally opposed to open source and don't code for firefox. Whichever one you're using, try the other.

Yep, that's what I said in my previous post...but when I called they were experiencing HEAVY calls and asked that you call back later, that's all. Happy to know that Disney finally gave in and got a toll-free number, at least for now!

Still holding out for the website as I am NOT an on-the-spot thinker when a human is rambling off a million room/hotel/rate options. I hate feeling like I have to make an uninformed, split second decision.

Previous Poster: So you think it might have to do with IE?? Not sure how to switch to something else??

There's a LOT of Disney information right here on the DIS home site, www.wdwinfo.com - including, yes, resort pricing http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/disney-rates-2008.htm and descriptions (note that DIS guidelines request that we use DIS/wdwinfo links first, and other links only if the information isn't available here).

Also, the toll-free numbers are and were NEVER intended for use by the general public. Stuff leaks out on the Internet. Disney has already shut off one of those numbers, and overuse, or even just repeated documented use, by others (e.g. us) will simply result in Disney shutting down other lines.

I use both IE and Firefox and well, WDW's site still sucks on both of them.....

Agreed. The other day it wouldn't let me get ticket prices! It kept putting me in a "virtual waiting room". How the heck many people were trying to buy Disney tickets at one time?!?

 YAH! I just downloaded Firefox and was able to fly through the WDW booking site like a breeze!! I am booked!! Thanks for the insight...us computer challenged folks stay in our comfortable, pre-installed boxes and don't know how to get out!!!

:cheer2: Thank you!

Wahoo!!  Congrats! Firefox is pretty much my favorite browser, wouldn't know what to do without it! Glad you could resolve the issue with the WDW site and book your trip. Happy planning :wizard:

I haven't yet found anything that works with a Macintosh. You'd think that with the Steve Jobs connection, they'd support Macintosh. I'd really like to be able to go in and play with the settings to see compare package prices at various hotels and dates.

I have a MAC and used Safari to book the trip on the Disney website with no problems at all.

I too have a Mac and use both safari and firefox. Safari used to have issues a while back, but they've updated it since then and fixed the problem.

The 800 # is no longer in service, it tells you to call the 407# now. I must have used it too many times.

I'm still having issues even though I do have a recent version of Safari. Wonder what the problem is.

If you have cookies blocked on your PC, your going to have problems with MANY sites, the Disney one included!

Have you tried downloading Firefox? I absolutely love it and would rather use it over any other browser. I wish I could use it on my iPhone! :rotfl2:

I wish. Unfortunately at home I have dialup and at work I can't load any new software.

Is your problem solved? I couldn't do it either on the website. Problem was I needed two rooms for a family of seven. The website just didn't get it. Phone was a problem to 15 minutes on hold long distance. Ended up using smallworld travel. Problem solved.
