VENT! How many more American Pickers, Restorers, Loggers etc?

Ok, I will fess up to watching Real Housewives (NY,NJ,BH) but I don't like those other shows. But you make a good point. I supposed it's a bit more balanced than I thought. I just don't have control of the remote. We have the nice tv upstairs and the old tv in the basement. It's partially finished, but I won't go down there at night because we get water spiders (they look like crickets to me, and they sure jump like them, but DH says water spiders).

I watch all the Housewives too , so I have to be nice and let hubby have time with his Pawn stars and Swamp People.

We also watch American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Billy the Exterminator and Dog the Bounty Hunter.

History and TLC both lost focus in the past ten years. Both are now basically reality TV.

I so agree. It's like how MTV never plays videos anymore. And the Travel Channel seems to show more cooking shows and POKER (?) than travel.

They need to rename Swamp People to "Gator Head Shots" because that is pretty much all that show is.

Because they are all men! LOL I guess that's why I think of them that way. But obviously many women enjoy these shows, so clearly they aren't just for men.

I watch Stormchasers but this season so far has gotten too much "interparty" drama going on. I usually just dvr then skip through that drama and just get to the tornado intercepts.

i can't watch IRT. those big trucks driving across the ice makes me too nervous, lol.

I like most of the shows mentioned, in small doses.

I don't like them but my boys love them. Drives me crazy!!

However I did watch IRT when they were in India. Man, I thought ice roads were scary. There is no way I'd drive the roads those truckers had to take in India. 400 foot cliffs with cars and trucks weaving in and out both ways. It was soooo scary!

OMG I saw that last week and spent most of the show saying "no ******* way". DH thought it was hilarious because I rarely cuss, but I wasn't laughing.

The worst part was watching the young petite woman going down that mountain,poor thing looked like she was going to have a nervous breakdown.

Well, I can't watch Swamp People. I spend entire episode anxious that someone is going to lose a limb to a gator. I know I'd hear about it in the news before an episode could even be aired but it still freaks me out! I think I may have a gator phobia.
I also end up scrubbing the floors when I try to watch Hoarders.

Whenever I don't feel like cleaning I flip on an episode of two or Hoarders. And then my place becomes spotless!

Hoarders makes me clean too! I usually clean and watch... the bug ones are the worst for me... ugh
