We're going to DL next week and I was wondering what the restaurants with good vegetarian options are. We are also looking for cheap eats...but a few nicer places too. And by vegetarian, I don't want to eat salads for a week :)

Thanks for the help!

Seems as tho Red Rocket's Pizza Port would have some nice salads and pasta dishes...

All of the burger places have veggie burgers (in both parks) They may not be on the menu- just ask them and they will do it.

Every place has a vegetarian option- either a pasta, cheese pizza, veggie burger, veggie sandwich, etc.

I wish there were more options, but hey it's there!

Vegan is tougher than vegetarian where you do not mind honey, cheese and eggs for example.

They carry Lays chips some of which are vegetarian.

There are carts selling fruit and veggies and trail mix plus Fruitibu all fruit leather like a roll up.

Bengal Barbecue
Outback Vegetable Skewer - Skewered Fresh Vegetables $3.49
You can ask for the following with no bacon:
Safari Skewer - Bacon Wrapped Asparagus $3.79

Dole Whips are not vegan due to the cassein but are considered vegetarian.

Cafe Orleans have the following:
French Onion Soup - Sauteed sweet-onion medley in a traditional broth with melted Gruyere cheese Cup $3.99

Pommes Frites - Traditional French-fried potatoes tossed with Parmesan cheese, garlic and parsley, served with a Cajun spice remoulade $4.99

Creole Ratatouille - A N'awlins twist on a French favorite! Savory vegetable ragout, with tomato, eggplant, red onion, bell pepper, squash, zucchini, and fresh garlic - seasoned to perfection and served with corn cakes topped with grana padano cheese. $13.99

If you do not mind cheese then you have to try Carnation Cafe's loaded baked potato soup.

Vegetarian Gumbo is sold behind the entrance to Pirates and over at the wharf at DCA is a cafe with some vegetarian chili but bring the rolaids, lol.

Wine Conuntry Tratoria offers
Roasted Vegetable Lasagna - Roasted zucchini, red bell peppers, eggplant, layers of tender pasta, Italian cheeses with a basil garlic marinara sauce $12.79

Caprese Sandwich - Fresh Mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, red bell peppers, marinated artichokes, olives and capers drizzled with red wine vinaigrette on savory pretzel bread. $9.99

Oh my goodness...this stuff sounds so yummy! I'm getting hungry!

I am not vegan so at least that will make things a little easier. I didn't know about the veggie burgers...that will make things a lot easier as we all (including my 1 and 4 year olds!) love veggie burgers.
I'll have to especially go to Cafe Orleans! Sounds so good!

Thanks! Any more suggestions? I want to make a list to take with me so i don't spend valuable Disneyland time looking for where to eat! :)

Thanks again!

The French Onion soup is NOT a vegetarian soup b/c of the base.

Vegetarian Gumbo at Royal Street Veranda (DL).
Vegetarian Chili at Pacific Wharf Cafe (DCA).

The Ratatouille Laurie mentioned is DELICIOUS.

WCT also offers a Pizzeta Salad which can be made vegetarian (they even note that on the menu). I can vouch that their Caprese Sandwich is very good.

Award Weiners in DCA has a strange option, a portobello "Philly" sandwich...I have not tried it yet, but I remain intrigued.

Check out the menus at allears.net (and wdwinfo.com but the info side of the Dis isn't so good with DLR) and you'll see. It seems like it's limited, but I never feel deprived at DLR...

But for the record, to me, Tomorrowland Terrace is naaaaaaaaasty. Hubby and son don't mind it, but I just hate it when they want to eat there. The line is INSANELY long, the cashiers are slow, and the food is just not good enough IMO to waste my time there. Your mileage may vary, of course. (I feel the same, only stronger, about Pizza Oom Mow Mow)

My favorites;

Chili bread bowl in DCA
Caprese Sandwhich at WCT in DCA
Tostada at Rancho in DL (BTW its HUGE so share it!)

Honestly I tend to like the food in DCA more.

There are actually many options at the parks, I have not eaten a salad (unless I wanted one ;)) or a veggie burger in the parks in years and years!!!

I have to say I use to like the portabello mushrooms at BB but the last time they were burnt and terrible, I didn't even eat them (or pay for them thank goodness!).

I think most anywhere you go has at least one veggie option and sometimes things can be removed to also make them veggie. You will be pleasantly surprised.

On DTD I have to say my favorite sit down place that is inexpensive is the UVA bar, they have lots of veggie options at reasonable prices and I love to sit outside and people watch :)

I couldn't agree with you more. We went once. We waited FOREVER for food, then FOREVER to get checked out. Our food was cold by the time we got a table, and wasn't even good. bleck.

I also heard that they will be doing tofu ribs at the new Roundup BBQ, but I don't remember where I saw that, so I don't know if that's true or not.

I third TT! I can't even stand the smell over there it smells like the grease from the Grand Opening. Never liked that place and now I am veggie I like it even less. There are too many better options to eat TT!!! heheh!

Doesn't the Loaded Baked Potato Soup at Carnation Cafe have bacon in it?

Another option is the Veggie sandwich at the Blue Ribbon Bakery - lots of nice veggies in that, though I believe it also has cheese.

For (somewhat) cheap eats, most of the fruit carts and places like ToonUp Treats and the big "fruit market" place in Adventureland sell packaged veggies and dip and various kinds of cut-up fresh fruit in addition to whole fruit.
