Hi!

We're vegetarians, planning a Disney World vacation for New Year's. Do you know which restaurants are vegetarian friendly? Would love to eat something BESIDES salads all week!

Thanks!

I find all of WDW is very vegetarian friendly. I went there last June & believe me I did not go hungry! LOL:p

Even your buffets have a lot of choices besides salads. If you eat diary products you should not have any problems.

A wonderful place is California Grill. I had a wonderful vegetarian dish there. A+

Also a lot of your counter places now have veggie burgers.

Keep in mind that if you just ask or mention you are a vegetarian the chef can fix you up something.
We were at Prime Time 50s Cafe & they only had one vegetarian thing on the menu (Stuffed peppers) I do not like peppers so I asked if they had anything else. The waitress was very friendly & mentioned that they can cook me up a veggie burger. It was very good too.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, especially if dairy is in your diet.
Remember if you don't see anything on the menu just ask!!!

Have fun

There is a book available at book stores for vegetarians at WDW. I bought one for my sister last year as a gift before she went and actually had the new version in my hands at a Barnes and Noble last evening. She claims that it is a terrific book.

WDW is very veggie friendly. Any chef will happily alter a menu item to suit your needs. California Grill is great, as mentioned. The buffets are also terrific - Boma, 1900 Park Faire, etc. In the parks, Cosmic Rays at MK has a good burger and a great toppings bar. Sunshine Terrace (think that's what its called) in MGM on the way to TOT has a veggie burger too. Land food court in EPCOT always has something good and meatless. Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD does great veggie pizza and pasta dishes.

Trust me - you won't starve at WDW.

Great vegetarian experiences during our last trip in December.

Boma is AWESOME, the stuffed pepper at Prime Time Cafe was incredible. The Coral Reef sandwich and the vegetarian chili in a bread bowl at CHH is quite commendable. Uncle Ray's vegetarian pasta offering at the Wilderness Lodge is good and the apple vinagrette (sp?) dressing is "to die for".
My least favorite was the wrap at Tusker House...(my opinion only)...

You will find lots of great vegetarian fare....and if you don't find anything to your liking on the menu....JUST ASK !!!

Check out the menus at wdwig.com a great resource !!!

Have a great trip.............
