I've been to Universal before, but only for day trips, so food was never much of an issue. Now, I've got an 8-day trip coming up in August with DD9 (she's not a vegetarian) and looking over the menus has me wondering if I'm doomed to 8 days of cheese pizza for lunch and dinner? I know I'm exaggerating a bit there, but the selections aren't numerous. The sit-down places seem to (mostly) have at least one good option, but how about counter-service? I can't go TS for every meal, lol.

Does anyone have any favorite vegetarian CS meals? Any on-site location is fine - either park, Citywalk, the hotels....... We'll have enough time to explore them all this time. :yay:

Thanks in advance. :goodvibes

My sister is a vegetarian and this is info I had saved from one of our trips. Hope it helps!

Universal Studios
There is a fruit stall in front of the Café La Bamba.
Beverly Hill Boulangerie has the Health Sandwich (avocado & cheese on a oat bun) and salad.
Lombard's Landing (407-224-6400) has Garden Burgers (bun and maybe the burger contain cheese), Five Cheese Ravioli, pasta and a Fruit Plate. Takes reservations and gets good ratings. There is a good view of the Dynamite Nights Stuntacular that begins just before the park closes.
The Classic Monster's Café has good cheese and vegan pizzas.
Café La Bamba has corn-on-the-cob, baked potatoes, tacos and salads.

Islands of Adventure
There are not many vegetarian options here.
Confisco Grille has Spanakopizza (flat-bread with feta cheese, olives & spinach), Grilled Vegetable Muffuletta (grilled vegetables with gouda cheese in a sesame roll) and a Mediterranean Platter. Various characters such as Spiderman and Woody Woodpecker visit the place.
Enchanted Oak Tavern, at The Lost Continent, has baked potatoes and roasted corn-on-the-cob.
Café 4's, at the Marvel Super Hero Island, has pizzas.
Pizza Predattoria, at Jurassic Park, has pizzas.
Mythos, The Lost Continent of Adventure, has pizza and pasta. It has a great décor with carvings of the Greek gods. Upscale design with crystal chandeliers. Popular place.
Port of Entry Fruit Stand, Port of Entry Islands of Adventure, has an assortment of fruits and drinks.

CityWalk
The CityWalk is a 30-acre area outside the entrance to Universal. There are about a dozen theme restaurants at this place.
Emeril's is an expensive high-class place. The owner and chef is Emeril Lagasse, one of the top chefs in the country. It has wood-stove cooked pizzas. During the high season you have to make a reservation weeks in advance. Has vegetarian Ravioli, Roasted Vegetable Plate and organic smashed potatoes.
Pastamoré Italiano has pizza, spaghetti, Five Cheese Ravioli and vegan antipasto salad.
Marketplace Café has pizza and Italian Veggie Sandwich
Hard Rock Café has a veggie burger (their own recipe), pasta, salads and baked potato.
Bob Marley-A Tribute to Freedom is a replica of Bob Marley's home in Jamaica. Has Natty Dread Jamacian vegetable potties with yucca fries. Has salads, chips & salsa and Cheddar Cheese Fondue. Has live reggae bands and a dance floor.
Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville has Macaroni & Cheese and a Spinach Tortilla Wrap.
NBA City has pizzas.
Latin Quarter has a Cheese Tortilla and pizza,
Nascar Café has pizzas and spaghetti.

Thanks for posting in such detail Fan2CSkr! My DD(15) is a vegetarian and it's always hard to find a place that she will enjoy. I'll print this out for her for our trip in August. She'll be thrilled. :thumbsup2

Thank you for the list! Very nice.

I'll have to doublecheck some of it (most Caesar salads aren't veg and many places use a meat stock for soups.....) but it looks like that's a good list of what's there. Maybe I'll have a few days of just snacks....

Enchanted Oak Tavern - Salad, fries, mac & cheese (on kids menu) baked potato, corn muffin & corn on the cob
Also, near the entrance to EOT is a great stand that sells fresh fruit. Grab a cup and take it inside to enjoy with your carbs!:)
