We try to buy fresh veg, especially if it's in season.

We always have a selection of frozen: peas, runner beans, broad beans, brussel sprouts, chips, to name a few.

I don't really like canned veg, except baked beans.

I am exactly like you...I go with fresh first...then frozen....and as a last resort canned. I don't have a problem wiht canned...but the DH does!!!

Always fresh. California is lucky to have most veggies and fruits available year round.

Fresh or frozen. Never canned. I grew up with a mixture of both, and canned never bothered me until I got older.

Depends on the vegetable. Onions fresh. Corn, fresh on the cob when possible, otherwise canned. Rarely frozen corn on the cob. Green beans in the can. Broccoli usually frozen, but sometimes fresh. Frozen mixed vegetables. Asparagus fresh. Spinach if served plain then in a can, but for a dip then frozen. Tomatoes fresh unless for a sauce and then canned. We all hate carrots and peas. That's all I can think of right now.

What are these??

We used frozen and canned in the winter and mostly fresh in the summer :)

Fresh is my number one choice, followed by frozen. I never use canned veggies, I'm not sure why...just doesn't seem right to me:confused3

Fresh is always best!!!! I try to buy in season veggies. I do like the Green Giant small frozen pouches.

It depends. DH doesn't eat a lot of veggies. We buy a certain brand/kind of canned corn, it's practically just as good as off the cob. I always have frozen brocolli and frozen green beans in the freezer that I pop in the microwave for dinner for myself!

A mix. I use a lot of canned beans and tomatoes, but frozen peas, spinach and corn. Everything else is fresh.

Fresh or frozen most of the time. The only thing I buy canned is corn.

I've started seeds to grow tomatoes, and sweet red peppers in pots on my lanai. If that's successsful I'll plant green beans as well. :goodvibes I'm hoping that I can grow them all more or less year round. We're also going to put in orange and lemon trees in the backyard so we'll have fresh fruit from those some of the year as well.

Almost always fresh, though I will buy canned corn, green beans, peas, or limas. I do NOT like canned carrots or frozen green beans, blech. The only frozen veggies I have right now are brussel sprouts and corn (not on the cob).

Fresh then frozen. The only thing I will buy in a can is corn and stringbeans because I like to snack on them, I never serve them as a dish to my family.

When I first met DH he is from NH and I from CA, he had a cabinet full of canned peas - yuck, it was truly the only veggie he had ever eaten and had never had them fresh or frozen. Now he is a convert to Petite Peas (frozen)

I mostly do frozen. Supposedly they are flash frozen right after harvesting, whereas fresh could be sitting in the grocery store for a few days losing nutrients. Also, they are already washed & cut to size.

The only canned I will get is corn & chick peas. The rest are too salty. I do buy a lot of canned fruit though, as I'm allergic to most raw fruit. Somehow the heating during the canning process is enough to neutralize whatever I am allergic to.

Frozen mostly. I really like those microwave steamer bags. I can't remember who makes them, but they're pretty good, as far as veggies go. I do try to buy fresh when I can, but they usually end up going to waste. We do have some cans for my younger son to eat at lunch.

Fresh for everything except tomatoes in winter. I will use canned tomato products (sauce, chopped, stewed, paste, whatever).

I cannot stand frozen veggies, they taste nasty to me. Well, more like tasteless, and any taste they do have is nasty. I never ever buy frozen.
