Vegas Trip ~ November '09 (It's over, but we had a blast!)

Beth: Linda and I talked about this last night. The only reason I wouldn't come is if they schedule Dawn's services this weekend--I'm hoping (selfishly I know) that they won't schedule it right away because of the holiday weekend--plus they had planned a big birthday party for Dawn's grandma's 90th birthday this weekend (which is why Dawn wasn't coming to Vegas with us). I don't know if that is going forward or not. Linda and I are both otherwise on board to make the trip--I think we all need "real" hugs. As soon as I hear anything I will let you know.

Okay. I was also wondering if it would be this coming weekend or not. Thanks for the update.

I didn't realize her Grandma's 90th birthday was coming up! Wow. So much for her to have celebrated, and with such a loving family. Makes it all the more tragic for me to hear that.

Okay. I think the plans on the front page are pretty well set now. Saturday dinner at Wolfgang Puck's and Sunday dinner at Burger Bar. I really hope we are all able to meet up.

Are you sure? Well, it's up to you. I have to head home right after the show that night, around 9-ish and I know Marcie will probably still be up for some fun, so maybe the two of you could get a drink in the MGM later on.

Also there is a store right in the same area as the Burger Bar. I have a coupon for there. It's $25 off any purchase of $50. So basically half off. I was going to see if you wanted it. I cannot fit into the clothes there, but maybe you can find something or find something fun for Bree. If you want. And Jane is coming to the dinner, but not to the show after, so the two of you could always go for a drink or play some slots after.

My flight doesn't leave Monday until 11:45 am I am half tempted to move it earlier, but I guess a good night sleep will do me good. I may just go home rested for once. I'm kinda thinking once Beth goes home and Linda goes to bed just take a shower, pack, play the slots a bit and get a good night sleep. I just wish my flight wasn't soooo long, I won't be home until 7 p.m.

I hear ya. It's just the time of year. I've seen a couple people post how every weekend between now and Christmas is already booked up for them with different plans, parties, get-togethers, shopping, baking, etc. Whew!! It's exhausting!! Even though it's all fun, it can still be stressful, kwim?

Make a list. That's what I do. Putting down things I need to do and when they need to be done by, or things I need to buy, even writing down my menus for Christmas breakfast and dinner, helps to get it all out of my head.

It sounds a little OCD, lol, but it does help. Otherwise the thoughts and to-do lists get all jumbled in my brain and I feel like I'm going to explode!! It takes the fun out of it when you're stressing.

As for your man, don't you know..........absence makes the heart grow fonder. When you return, he'll be kissing the ground you walk on. Tell him he can take the time your gone as a chance to do his Christmas shopping for you.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute, I just decided this morning I don't have enough pairs of jeans to bring. I don't have a lot of jeans since I dress up for work. So, I ran out at lunch and bought a couple of pairs. I hope they look good, I barely got to see them on. I'm not packing until tomorrow and I think I'm going to just bring all jeans and just a variety of sleeveless, long sleeve and short sleeve shirts and a couple of jackets, maybe a pair of heals or two, some flip flops and tennis shoes. Not sure what I want to wear.

I just couldn't get my act together, so we are going to drive up on Thansgiving Day. that means we will likely stay until Monday a.m. then.

just too much to do, not enough time and frankly not enough energy to get it all done to leave this morning--and leaving this afternoon would be a nightmare with traffic!

Yay for friends coming to Vegas!

As I posted earlier, Friday looks like a complete no go, but I am good for at least dinner on Saturday and Sunday. If I can juggle a few things around, I may be able to come down to the Strip earlier on Saturday and catch up to wherever you might be at the time. I will also likely go to Kahunaville for a short while, but since I have to drive home that night, I can't have too much fun. But, I do LOVE the Otter Pop drink I discovered on my birthday. It's bright blue and tastes like raspberries--yum!
