Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurant/Dining Help Thread

Agree about Tucker Hiuse. Visited AK many times and never ate there until last fall. OMG delicious!! I also really liked 1900 Park Fare for breakfast (I’m lactos-ovo vegetarian so there were lots of options). I never felt the place was too loud and there were never any lines at the buffet. Loved the character interactions we had, especially Tiana.

I wish there was a place like Tusker House outside AK, it sounds good. But I’m vegan so no AK for me.

I've seen posts around the interwebz stating that you can get a plant protein bowl for dinner at Ale & Compass, but it is not listed on the menu posted at the official restaurant page, so I'm wondering if our reservation there will be pointless (not that a vegan donut flight is ever pointless!). Has anyone been recently and been able to order the plant protein bowl for dinner? I want to know whether to keep our ADR or schedule Cape May Cafe or something else (Disney Springs?) there instead.

I know it is not an option on mobile order, but I am wondering if anyone been able to substitute the chili-spiced crispy tofu for the beef on the vegetable goat cheese frittata breakfast entree at Satu’li Canteen? I’m not sure if the tofu is even available before 10 AM? The plant based option seems pretty underwhelming.

I don’t have an answer for you, but I will say one of the reasons we ~haven’t~ tried Satu’uli for breakfast is that menu situation.

As egg-eaters who prefer not to eat meat, it continues to be a struggle to get vegetarian egg options at some of these places, as the veggie choices have switched towards “egg” substitutes. This one is frustrating because the frittata appears lacto-ovo vegetarian, but is plated with beef that I would love to not order. And then the veggie option is only cold fruit and oats.

Yes, exactly! It sounded like a good protein forward vegetarian option…if it wasn’t for the beef. Swapping for the tofu would be perfect, but since it’s not an option on mobile order, I’m thinking the tofu is not available until lunch. If I don’t get an answer before my trip (August), I will ask and report back.
