Vegan options for character meals

I have Storytellers and Minnie and Friends character breakfasts booked for my trip. I was wondering if anyone has requested vegan options at either one. If so, what did you get? How far in advance did you make your request?

If you already have the reservations you should call now and let them know you're vegan.

I've heard Disney's explanation that they don't have anything vegetarian on the Carthay menu because when the guests let them know in advance the chef can tailor a dish to them based on what's available. Going by that logic, let them know with as much advanced notice as possible that you have special dietary needs.

According to another blog you can get vegan pancake or waffles and Minnie and Friends, but again, probably best to let them know ahead of time.
