VDH Opening

Cash rates are live on the site. Also new pictures.
Looks like there will be +1 bathroom in bedroom units like GCV, BLT, and Kidani.

1) I like the additional artists renderings as the rooms don’t look as “loud” to me as previous.

2) The Princess & The Frog rooms are fine EXCEPT I don’t like the massive picture of Tiana in the living room or the frilly stickers on the pull down bed under the TV.

I would request the Fantasia rooms every time.

3) What is the theme of the Grand Villa supposed to be? I don’t understand the artwork on the walls behind the bed at all….

4) Love the Sleeping Beauty rooms!

Looks like the Deluxe Studios don't have tubs? Those are (nice) walk-in showers in the artist renderings, not combo tub/showers. And the published floor plans don't have a 2nd spot for a tub.

Speaking of the bathrooms, are there two showers in the master bedroom of the 1BR & 2BR villas? I can't tell what that is to the right of the tub.

But I am looking forward to that tub, hopefully it's jetted from the bottom like at RVA.

According to the floor plans, the space to the right of the tub is a 'throne room'. The frosted glass door is an odd choice.

Ohh, okay. I think the frosted glass is for symmetry with the shower.

My wife saw the Frozen headboard in the Grand Villa without knowing the context and asked “why does it look like a horse tooting…. oh, that is supposed to be something with Frozen” 🤣

Why is that odd? Might the person on the "throne" not want a bit of privacy from the person in the shower?
ON EDIT: I just realized that maybe you meant why a frosted glass door as opposed to a wooden door, not why would the glass door be frosted.

Yeah I meant frosted glass wasn't private enough, or as private as completely opaque (such as a wooden door, but also maybe a glass door with opaque laminate).

The frosted glass also appears to have an ombre effect, where it's not frosted near the top but becomes gradually more frosted lower down. So I suppose you could see right in if you get close and are tall enough.

I encourage family and friends to not peep on each other in the bathroom. ;)

ie - it's not a public bathroom.

Its great to see all the new images. This was not at all what I expected for a Disneyland Hotel DVC wing. I may be the minority but the colour palettes clash for my taste. Granted my preconceived idea was the rooms would be an homage to the history of Disneyland and the original Disneyland Hotel. The bathrooms seem nice. Maybe I will have a warmer response seeing the rooms in reality.

I don't like the pics either. Looking forward to the 2030 refurbishment.

My 1st thoughts as I looked at the images is that a lot of it won't age well. The bathroom tiles, curtains - well, a lot of it is fairly trendy vs something that might better represent Disney history. And with the DVC refurb schedule of 7 years soft goods and 14 years hard goods they will be there for quite awhile. Purple is a trend that comes and goes but doesn't usually last too long. It makes me think of It's a Small World but I don't think that's what they had in mind. lol

That all said - it's a hotel room not my home so it doesn't keep me from it but it will be interesting to read comments several years down the road.

Oh. Edit. Looking forward to the 2037 refurbishment...

So now that all the reservations are open to all, how long do we think before we may see a points chart.? (next week, next month?)

A few more thoughts from the pictures. Those Duo studios are "cozy".

In the studios what were they thinking with having the TV as far away from the bed as possible? The vanity seating area could have gone there and the TV in the area between the sofa and the bed positioning.

And the large lit vanity mirror in the bathrooms seems somewhat out of place next to the unlit mirror above the sink. It looks awkward.

And finally - what's this new trend with these little tiny vanity seats. Give me an actual table back please.

But I don't think any of it looks like a Holiday Inn so their trying.
