VCR or DVD @ VWL & high-speed internet?

haven't been "home" in a while and I was wondering if VWL still had VCRs or have they upgraded to DVDs like the newer resorts.

Also, I heard a rumor of high-speed internet coming soon - is it available in VWL?

High Speed Internet Access is being installed in many Walt Disney World resorts. In-room access is currently available at Coronado Springs, Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, the Contemporary, the Grand Floridian, and the Beach Club Villas. Tentative dates for bringing other resorts "up to speed" are:

BoardWalk (including DVC units) - February 9, 2004
Villas at the Wilderness Lodge - February 16, 2004
Old Key West - April 2, 2004
Saratoga Springs - April 29, 2004

Access requires a Local Area Network (LAN) cable. The price is $9.95 for 24 contiguous hours, charged to your room account.

We visited VWL 4-8 April. It looked to me that they still have VCP's at VWL.
I can confirm that the Broadband is working at VWL (we used it on our last day). The literature advertises it is as easy as 1-2-3...
However, maybe they meant 1-2-3 phone calls to tech support because that is what it took for me to get connected.
The directions for where to plug the ethernet cable into the wall are kind of sketchy...and then I had some wierd problem where tech support had to enter a special password to gain access--I have no idea as to why that was (and the first tech support person couldn't clear it up, so I was referred to the Ultra-Mega tech support).
But, once those initial problems were worked out, I didn't have a bit of trouble.

Hopefully they will have the bugs worked out of the high-speed at VWL by October. I am hoping to not have to use dial up this time. I would love to just be able to keep it on and pay the $10/day. I guess I need to be prepared that I may have to make some tech support calls just in case. When I get ready to set that up, I think that will be a great time for DH to take the kids to the pool .
