VB Trip Report with Pics 8-8-08

I love Squid Lips, but I am a pub kind of guy. I have 2 other places on the list for our next trip. I don't know about either but have heard good things. My Manatees and Capt. Hirams. If you do try them please put a review on.

Thanks so much for the trip report and the beautiful pictures! We celebrated New Years at Vero Beach and loved the resort so much! We will definitely go back again (although maybe when the weather and water are warmer).

We check in for the first time on Oct 1. We also have an OVIR --I can only hope our sunrise view is that wonderful.
RLRDR-we were told the OVIR rooms are hotel rooms-not studios. The studios are in the out buildings while the hotel rooms are all in the main building. There are only 2 of us and we will not be cooking so I don't need the kitchen and I want that view!!!

What a wonderful report!!! I truly loved all of your photos, clearly, you thought of all of us here on the DIS! Thank-you!! I can't wait to check it out myself, oneday.

When we were in HHIR last month, we met several VB owners who told us the OVIR room was the BEST kept secret of DVC- gorgeous ocean front, studio points! OOPS!!! We've let the cat out of the bag!!

Here's a turtle nest...they have a bunch of these up and down the beach.......

Any idea what time of year the turtles hatch? My kids would love to witness that!

Most hatch between June and beginning of August. They have a great turtle troop program there.

Looks like a fun trip! Great pictures! This made me so very excited to go to VB in April. We just can't wait!
