We have been to VB three times and each time, DS#1 states that he wants to stay up there (pointing to the Inn Rooms Ocean Side) - this is funny to us adults who like our 1 or 2BR space ;)

It would be DW, myself and the 2 DS's - we are quite spoiled by our 1BR+ room sizes but are thinking of accomdating DS#1 room request :p

A couple of questions on the INN OV rooms:

1) Do they all face the Ocean directly or do the rooms that face to the North and South (North towards Building #12 and South towards pool) count as OV since in theory they could have an oblique view of the Ocean?

2) Do they all have balconies - looking at them, it seems some do not have them?

3) Is the sound proofing good in case DS#2 has a crabby night (likely not to occur since he will 21 mos old on the trip in question)

thanks!

There are some rooms that have sort of a semi-ocean view. Some of these, though, also have a pool view which I think is kind of nice.

I believe they all have balconies. The balconies, however, can range in size as they follow the shape of the building. Some are big enough to host a party (under the eaves) and others have room for two chairs and a sensation that you are falling off the building. ;)

I haven't had any probems with noise.

I, too, am one that loves the space of the villas, but after staying in an OV Inn room last month at Vero, I will probably request one from here on. It was, however, just my mother and me. I don't know how it would be with two small ones. Our room was the last one on the top floor on the south end (had a side window which faced the pool). I think this room, 2409, may be configured a little differently than the others because it is under the eaves. We had slanted ceilings which didn't bother me and the area under the window (like a dormer window) facing the pool was just wasted space - there could be a daybed or something placed there. Our balcony was truly tiny, but for the two of us it was fine. The view was absolutely breathtaking and just the sound of the waves was wonderful. As far as noise, we did hear a baby next door - there was actually a connecting door between our room and theirs. so maybe that was the reason. He was up early and late and cried A LOT! The room overall, though, was great - really large and oh my that view! Enjoy!

Candace,

It sounds like that was one of the rooms that was supposed to have a chair ottaman (sp?)

Was there not one in the room?

I have stayed on the 3rd floor at the left corner of the building as you look out toward the ocean and had no noise issue. A good friend stayed over the Green Cabin Room at the center of the building and heard the music. You might want to request not being in this area of the building if you go to sleep early.

Our first few times at VB, we stayed in 2216. This was an ocean view inn room on the 2nd floor.

We loved this room. It was located on the corner of the building and the balcony faced the pool. At first, I didn't think I would like it but I quickly changed my mind.

I could see my DH and kids at the pool, we could see the ocean, the room was extremely quiet! and it was a quick walk to the Green Cabin Room or down the stairs to the restaurant or gift shop.

I don't think I would like being on the other side of the building, though.

Last year, we stayed in 2321-direct ocean view. The balcony was very close to the next one. We still loved the room.

:sunny:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I had heard at one time that there was a 1BR or 2BR in the Inn somewhere, possibly one of the corners? Anyone else ever hear of that?
