Sorry if this has been asked a zillion times before! The search doesn't work. We usually go to WDW in Nov. and I was thinking of adding a stay at VB during this time. Is it crazy to go in Nov? Meaning is it cold and a waste because you can't enjoy outside activities?

Also, what is the be time to go? When is it fairly warm but yet not mobed with people?

Vero is almost always a little warmer than Orlando. Unless there is an unusual cold front, you should be able to enjoy the outdoors in November, especially early November. September can still be kind of hot, October is probably close to perfect and both months will be low on crowds. Of course, hurricanes are the wild card this time of year. Mid-February-April is "the season" for Vero. Disney folks have also made summer popular.

Overall, there is no real "mobbed" time at Vero and not many "bad" times to go either. ;)

We usually go late October.

This year we will be there from 10/23-11/2.

We think it is the perfect time of year to go. It is still plenty warm. The past 2 Octobers it has been in the 80's during the day.

We spend a lot of time at the beach and at the pool.

We have also gone in the Spring time. We thought the resort was a little busier and didn't like it as much.

Sometimes in late Oct. or early Nov. you feel like you have the resort to yourselves.

Thanks for the quick responses! Another question, do they do anything special for Halloween?

Yes, they do have special activities for Halloween. We were there in October and are going back this year.

They had a children's costume contest, an adult costume contest, a pumpkin carving contest, the CM's decorated pumkins and displayed them. We took a picture of one of the CM's and her NEMO pumpkin and our children. I am trying to get my DH to post our picture of the trip. I'll let you know.

Most of the CM's had costumes on. Children could decorate masks in the Community Hall to wear in a Halloween Parade around the pool later in the day.

They had slime relays on the lawn during the day. At night, they closed down the pirate ship so it would dry and turned it into a ghost ship. They had trick or treating at various different places around the resort-our kids loved this. They handed out really nice glow in the dark pumpkin, cat and witch necklaces that were real popular. They also had a DJ by the pool while the snack bar served caramel apples, cotton candy, drinks and pizza. The resort also provided cider and donuts.

They had a fortune teller at the pool at night, also.

We had a blast! There was a large group of high schoolers staying there for the Florida swim and dive finals and we thought this was going to be awful. They were the best. Some of the nicest kids we have ever met. They made the party a lot of fun. Two of the guys dressed up like Santa and Mrs. Claus and had everybody laughing.

We were so sad when we had to leave. Two of the CM's had befriended our children and gave them little Halloween gifts. It was really nice.

I think we ended the night in the Green Cabin room playing a game of Checkers.
