Hi Ladies,
I just got back from my business trip to Washington DC last night. After a few minor car problems, I was ready to be home after 15 hours on the road

I will be back to my trip report at some point this week. I have jury duty for several days, so that will put me a little behind too.
WOW. That is a gorgeous cake table. I love that castle. Hmmmmmmmm - maybe I need to go see if I can get one of those, I think it would great on top of my fireplace. The food looked real yummy (wait a minute I have to wipe the drool off of my keyboard). Everything is great. Love the way the flowers were displayed as well.
Thank you Laura, I was so happy with how everything came out. We're using the castle in our bedroom; so you'll have to let me know if you end up with one too.
I so forgot to mention in my last post that your food porn pictures made me so freaking hungry...

not to mention that it made me miss Disney even more! I keep telling myself I only have a few more weeks to go!
I feel ya on the driving thing too. I have to drive 4 1/2 hours one way to get to Chicago....not looking forward to it.
Anna Marie
So, when exactly do you leave on your trip? I'm so totally jealous; I'm already trying to plan when we're going to go for our anniversary.
Vanessa,
Your cake table turned out really awesome!! I know I saw the pictures of it before, but it is so impressive!!!

I am going to do Jim Shore Disney pieces as my centerpieces, so I will have to look into getting that one when I go to Disney....Everything looks great, especially the food...yummy!!
The Jim Shore items for your centerpieces is a great idea. They had a lot of different ones at the store on Main Street where they sell the glass figures, watches, etc. It is on the opposite side of the Emporium and is just a few doors down from the candy shop.
Everything looks great, and I swear, the first pic I saw of a turtle I thought was from Crush!
I love the idea of the bouquet's / tussie mussies with the cylinders, and reusing the floral elements.
I know Val saw it, we are going for her planning session in 2 days

and I HOPE I remember to suggest it to her when we are there!
You are such an inspiration!

I was so excited when the turtle made his rounds at the reception; it was perfect for Kris.
Reusing the bouquets was a definite money saver. I have seen other brides have the bouquets on the tables, but I wanted mine to look a little more uniform, so I went with the cylinders.
I know you're both already at
Disneyland, so I can't wait to hear Val's report when you get back.
Vanessa - your cake display was just absolutely amazing!!!! I've never seen anything like that!!!
They really did a great job; I wanted something different from the regular displays they do (well I guess nothing at Disney is ordinary, they are all fantastic

) and I wasn't disappointed!
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW - Just keep repeating that word because its all I've been saying whilst I've been reading your report!
And you have totally inspired me to use snowglobes somewhere in our decor - I am obsessed with them and why it never occured to me before now to use them shows exactly the state my head is in lately
I'm glad I was able to serve as inspiration

It is so great to relive these memoreis with all of you and to show how nice it is to see all your plans come together.
I'm glad you can carry on the snowglobe tradition. I picked it up the idea from another bride when I was down for my planning session

We even had some on our guestbook/gift table which is a nice touch if you don't use them at every table.
Everything is beautiful!!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you're enjoying my report
