Planning our first trip to Disney in January 2008. We will have our two year old daughter. Trying to decide between Value or Moderate Resort. Any suggestions as to which is the better option for a two year old. I am thinking that the All Star Movies looks kid friendly, but do not want to wait foever on buses to the parks or have to walk long distances to the room from the buses with a sleeping or cranky two year old. I was told that Coronado Springs is nice and that the bus stops are great. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We are willing to spend more if it means less hassle with a two year old!!

We went with our toddler and he loved it. The theming is so fun and he loved the food court. It's very, very Disney. From a child's perspective, very entertaining.

We paid for a preferred room and ended up just 2 mins from the main building. It was great.

We walked all around CSR while on our visit, like we did many other resorts, trying to get a feel for where we would stay next. It's very pretty and spread out. I think your 2 year old would "get" ASMo more because it's such a fun place for kids.

Our toddler remembers in detail our trips and had a wonderful time. He still talks about the huge icons at ASMo.

We did not use the busses, a car is a must for us. Just personal preference.

You'll have fun no matter what with some good planning ahead of time!

Take Care.

I love the values.

All of Disney's resorts are kid friendly but children seem to love the theming at the values more. I enjoy watching the children's eyes light up and the smiles on their faces when they see one of their favorite characters larger than life.

Did you know if you count all of the Dalmatians (the icons plus the puppies on the buildings) you will come up with 101 Dalmatians?
Now how cool is that?

That is one of my favorite WDW trivia facts. I love the way Disney pays attention to details!

Bus rides are quite short from the ALL Stars according to PassPorter.com

All Star Buses-CBR buses---POPbuses--PO buses--- Contemporary
MK 20 min---- 20 min-----25 min------10 min---20 min(mono)
Epcot 10 min-- 15 min-----20 min------10 min---15 min
MGM 10 min----12 min-----15 min------15 min---20min
AK 10 min------20min-------15 min----15 min---20 min
DTD 15 min----20 min------20 min-----15 min---35 min

It only takes 10 minutes to get to Epcot, MGM and AK from All Stars.
MK is 20 min away. That's the same amount of time it takes on the monorail from the Contemporary.

A WORD ABOUT BUS SHARING

To me Bus Sharing at the All Stars is really a non issue.

In the mornings during Park opening hours each All Star usually has a dedicated bus.
During mid day it is usually just our stop and maybe one more on the way to the parks. On the way back sometimes it is all 3 but often Sports and Music share and Movies has it's own bus back. Each of the All Stars usually has it's own dedicated bus back from the MK.
That is a big plus. It seems like the Music bus stop usually has the shortest of the three All Star bus lines.

I guess some people who stay at POP see all 3 All Star names on the return sign of our bus stop when they head to the POP bus stop and think All Stars also has 3 stops on the way to the park.
(Even when we stop at another AS resort to load up it has not taken more than 5 minutes and we are on our way!)

Have fun at Disney whereever you choose to stay!:wizard:

Pop only has one bus stop (and yes it does stay busy) - directly to the parks.

It does not share with any other resorts.

so if buses are your concern. then consider Pop.

It is pretty cute. But you will probably like it more than your children. Lots and lots of memories are here.

here are some pictures of Pop
