Since the values don't offer coffee makers in the room, I wanted to give my recommendation for a good small coffee maker to bring along. From the recommendation from someone on the Disboards, I bought the Black and Decker Brew n' Go. I could only find it at amazon, and it was on sale Friday for $12.99 (but it looks like it's back up to the regular price of $17.99 now). Anyway, I'm trying it out now and it makes 12 oz. of coffee. You don't need filters, and it has an insulated cup w/lid to take along if you want. You can also use it for making hot water if the kids want hot chocolate at night. It made my coffee very quickly this morning and it tastes good. :)

Here's a link to it:

Hope this helps someone. :)

Thanks for the suggestion, Mary! If I am staying more than one night in a value, I stop at Target and buy a coffeemaker for about $8.

I usually post on the budget board my date of check out, and offer to leave it for someone arriving that day.

(My own little coffee maker swap!)

Its GREAT! :cool1: Been using it for about 4 years now, it stays packed in My Disney suitcase. ;)

Lol! DH and I already had a big discussion about this very topic....ok, well I kind of turned it into a big discussion...DH just kind of nodded and said uh-huh every now and then, lol. We (ahem, I) discussed how we were going to make coffee in the room since there wasn't going to be any coffeemaker in the room. Options were:
1) take our own coffee maker
2) run out to the food court every morning to get them
3) just buy a cheapie from WalFart when we are doing our grocery run

BTW...dh thought all 3 were fine choices, he is very easygoing and quite the underplanner.

I'm just going to send DH out for coffees every morning. Gonna buy 2 resort mugs instead.

Although....someone did mention a coffee pot swap??????

So much brain power wasted over thoughts of morning coffee, lol. :rotfl2:

Thanks for the review! :wave2: I see a purchase in my future! I also saw this on Target.com for $17.99. Would be nice if they carried it in the store. Haven't looked though.

I may be resurrecting the coffee pot swap for mid-December if my plans stay as they are and I spend a few nights in a value!! stay tuned! :teeth: (But sorry, Jennifer, they won't hold it for 7 months for you....)

I bought a new cheap-o one from Big Lots for 7.99 that I'm taking (has reusable filter). I don't plan on lugging it home. ;)

If anyone wants it, we check out of Pop Sunday morning, Dec 18th.

Just had to put in a good word for the Brew & Go. As the only coffee drinker in the house, it's all I ever use.
