Value rate at Chirstmas?

We are trying to decide whether to go on Dec. 19th when the rates are at value or wait until Dec. 23rd to go. My question is if we check in on the 19th and we are planning on staying through the 28th, will the rates increase on the 20th or remain the same?

Your rate will be for your entire stay what it is the day you check in. If you check in at value season you will be charged entire stay for value season rate. We too are arriving on December 18th just in time for end of value season. Hoping discounts come out to get a better rate but at least I've gotten the cheapest I can for now.

Gina, does the value rate end on the 18th or 19th? Also, I noticed you were staying at the Contempory for your Christmas visit, what made you decide to stay there? We are still trying to decide which on to book at.

The rate ends on the 19th this year, so if you check in on the 19th then you will have this rate for your entire stay!!

DH is very spoiled and seeing how our last trip was a budget trip he wants to splurge this time and stay on the monorail. We have not yet stayed at the Contemporary, but have at the other monorail hotels and this is our second "attempt" to stay here.

If Disney doesn't come out with any specials or codes for our trip then we will finally get to try this resort. Our true love is the Poly. We were there for our honeymoon and it has been favorite since but we've tried others for budget reasons. Our stay at the GF was too good a price to pass up so we had to try it once. The hotel is beautiful, but we both said that we like the Poly better especially for the price difference.

I do definately like the convenience of the monorail especially seeing how we are only staying 5 nights. We always rent a car, but it is alot quicker to get to the parks on the monorail and saves DH the driving.

Disney does have so many resorts to choose from. We've stayed at what is considered their best to their best value and it is all about what is in your budget and how much time you'll be spending at your hotel.
