Value or moderate for Dec visit?

I am looking to come to Disney in December with either my sister or boyfriend. We are trying to decide between a value and mod resort. We have stayed at CSR and POFQ before and loved both, but were thinking about saving some money this trip by staying at a value. Is there a drastic difference between value and mod? We will probably spend most of our time either in the parks or eating at other resorts/DTD, so convenient bus transportation is important to us. Which value resort would you recommend for 20-somethings with no kids? Thanks in advance!!

Cheapest rooms would either be Pop, ASMu or ASSp. The Values have 260 sq. ft. per room while Mods. like POR have 314 sq. ft. of space. For 2 to 4 people you'd have enough space in a Value and cost of splitting the room would be huge.

I'd probably choose POP since the All Stars share a bus

Not always and very much exaggerated on these boards. We stayed at movies last October and in music in early December. We only shared midday during non peak times. My experience with pop buses is that they might not have ever shared, but they were sure busy.

Op, if you aren't at the resort much, pick a value and choose the one whose theme interests you the most.

I vote for a Little Mermaid standard room at Art of Animation. It's brand new and the standard rooms don't cost much more than the other values.

We have stayed at all three All Stars as well as Pop. We have enjoyed all of them.

I will say that if your dates are during Pop Warner, avoid the All Stars and go with Pop!

I prefer the moderates but never hesitate to stay at a value when I need to save money.

My two favorites are Music and Pop and I think for your age and dynamic, those would be great. Unless Pop Warner is going and then go with Pop.

Or a Little Mermaid room at AoA.

Have fun!

My 40-something bf and I (no kids) stayed at POP last year and it was awesome! Transportation was great, theming was fun. We got a preferred room which is closer to the main building and that was a good choice for us. After all, you need your coffee first thing in the morning, and the closer the better! LOL

Good luck and have fun!

We have stayed at some of both (think Pop has a more grown-up feel IMO). The full-size beds at the values have been fine with just 2 people (you'll each have your own bed).
We like the bus stops better at the mods. and miss our in-room coffee at the values.
