Val's Journal (comments welcome)

 Hi all,
Thanks for stopping by.

The trip this weekend was great. The food left a lot to be desired but that is fine because I definitely wasn't tempted to overindulge ;) . I did a lot of walking and the day was perfect.

This week is going to be whirlwind. Plus TOM should be making an appearance towards the end of the week. This could get interesting. I'm pledging to make it through well hydrated and without fast food.

On Thursday I am going to get new glasses. I know it's kind of a strange thing to be excited about but it's been four years and I'm looking forward to a change :D . I would like to get those lenses that change from sunglasses to clear in the sun. We'll have to wait and see.

Hi Val! Glad your weekend was a good one! Sounds like you have a hectic week coming up! Just make sure you get your exercise and water in! Have a great day!!!

Val, new glasses are always fun!! I'd be excited too! It's nice to have something like that to look forward to!

I hope you're having a good week so far! Drink that water and avoid the fast food. If you're stuck with fast food, then at least make the healthiest choices you can!

I'm sending you :goodvibes for a good day!! :sunny:

Hi Val,

New glasses are exciting. They change the look/shape of your face. The transition lenses are cool. I've thought about getting them too.

Good Luck with TOM. I'm sending :wizard:
Beth

Hey Val,

How do those new glasses look?:smooth: I bet they look great!

Thank you for the PM you sent me. I really appreciate you, Val!

Have a great Friday!!

Hi Val,

Just returning the favor and checking in on you. How are the glasses- I have to go for a new set soon also. I just hate going for all of those tests.

Oh, I also wanted to answer your question (from my thread); I have been to Salem. I really like it there especially in the autumn, DF and I try and go every year at least once- I find it very relaxing. We always stay at Morning Glory Bed and Breakfast. This year they have a trolley tour during fall going to the Rebecca Nurse homestead....I just reserved for that yesterday.

Anyway, especially now it is nice to get away from the wedding talk that has taken over life. Don't get me wrong I love the planning but sometimes people can be overbearing at times.

Well, hope all is going well for you. :sunny:

:wave2: Hi everyone,
Thanks for checking in with me. The new glasses are great and I even got prescription sunglasses too for the first time in my life. It worked out cheaper to get the sunglasses and reg. glasses than to get the transitions lenses.

I am in the middle of a very hectic couple of weeks. I have the kids full time right now since school hasn't started yet but camp is over. I also have my other 2nd shift kiddo so I'm doing a LOT of babysitting. There are also a million other things going on but thinking aobut them make my head spin so I'll spare you ;) .

I'm going to try to get to as many journals as I can tonight because I don't know when I'll have the next chance to check in. Take care everyone  .

Val, with all those kids around, I hope you get a chance to catch your breath! Wear them out with walks and lots of outside games - they'll stay out of trouble and you'll be getting your exercise in! :teeth: Also you'll get to use those cool new prescription sunglasses!! I hope the time until school starts goes quickly!

Hope the healthy living choices are going well! Do the best you can!

Hi Val!

Stopping by to say hi and see how you are doing. I hope you had a great weekend! Take care!

Hi Val,

Just dropping by to say hi. I hope you still have your sanity with all those kids. School starts soon.
Beth

Val, hope all is well! When does school start?? Soon, I hope! :teeth: :hyper:

Hope you have a wonderful day! :sunny:

 Thanks for your messages everyone.

Well, school starts on Wednesday so I'm in the home stretch :D . It's actually been nice having the kids here because they are all really great. It's just utterly exhausing. At least I am getting my exercise playing lots of games of hide and go seek :D .

I just have to get through next week and then my schedule will return to normal. My ds will prob. be starting preschool for the first time this year. I've never left him with anyone but family so I am not so sure I like this idea :( . I know they have to grow up but it still makes me feel a little sad.

I got a call from my best friend since 2nd grade today and she and her dh are expecting their first baby :D . The really wierd thing is I had a dream that she was pg with twins just this week. I am very happy for her.

Tomorrow is the first day I need to call to start planning the ps's for our Disney trip. I'm going to call and see if I can book us an Illuminations cruise tomorrow. I'll need some luck I think since I've heard it's hard to get them. We have three days to try so hopefully one will work out.

Well, I think that's all for me right now. I'm doing fairly well staying OP. I haven't done too bad with the fast food and I'm certainly getting in the exercise and water although still no treadmill. I hope to get back to that once things settle down. My clothes definitely feel loose. In fact, I can take my jeans off now without unbuttoning them! I plan to do a wiegh in next Sunday.

Hi Val,

I am sending lots of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: that you get your cruise. What other PS are you trying for? I understand how you feel about your little one going to preschool. Last year, I was so nervous for Katie bacause she was so shy. We walked in, and she asked a little girl to be her friend. Lauren said sure, and they went off to play. I was crying, but Katie was having the time of her life. I saw her go for a very shy child to one who is equally comfortable with kids or adults. It was the best thing I have ever done for her.

I hope you have a great Sunday. Get lots of rest, so you have energy for hide-and-seek.
Beth

Just had to come post real quick that we didn't get the cruise yesterday... but today I got one :Pinkbounc :bounce: ! Yay, can you tell this made my day? The one thing my DS picked out of the newest Travel channel special to do was to go on a boat to see the fireworks  (so of course I HAD to at least try, right :teeth: ).

Beth,
I have a nice long list of P.S.'s to obtain ::yes:: . We are planning on Crystal Palace dinner, Fantasmic Dinner Package at Hollywood and Vine, Candlelight Processional Dinner Package at Garden Grill, a Wilderness Lodge Sleigh Ride, Rainforest Cafe dinner, Grand Floridian Tea, Chef Mickey's dinner, and 1900 Park Fare breakfast :o . Sounds like a long list but we are going for two full weeks so it isn't even one P.S. a day for the trip. The cruise and sleigh ride are going to be surprises for my family. Now I just have to cross my fingers that I can get the sleigh ride :D .

Hi Val,

Congrats on getting the cruise. Tell me more about the sleigh ride. We'll be there Dec. 2005. I can't believe I don't know about it.
Beth

Congratulations Val!

I'm glad to hear you got that cruise. ::yes:: You definitely have some PS's to make!:teeth: All outstanding choices.::yes::

Have a great day!

Tracy:wave2:

Congratulations Val....on the great cruise trip....I can't wait to book my own Disney vacation (for next year).

I am praying for all of Florida right now (especially Disney) that they get through the next storm with no major damage.

I too would love to hear about the sleigh.

Have a great long weekend.

Hi Val,

Thanks for clarifying your PM. ;) I get it now.:teeth:

I hope you have had a wonderful week! Have a great Labor Day weekend!
