Validating Cdn Tickets at Polynesian

We’re actually staying at Pop and will try to get our Cdn resident tickets validated there. However, I’ve read mixed reviews on whether or not they’ll do it. Our first day is a non-park day so if Pop won’t validate our tickets and we don’t make it to Disney Springs, anyone know if the Polynesian will validate if we’re not staying there? Reason I ask is that we have an Ohana ADR that first night so it would work out perfectly.

yeah, the resorts can’t validate them. but the magic kingdom is a short monorail/boat ride—i would head there before or after your meal to get them validated before your first park day.

Didn't think about taking the monorail or boat to MK...good idea! That may work out better if we take the bus from Pop to MK before dinner and then take the monorail or boat to the Poly...saves the cost of an Uber/Lyft. Yeah, I want to make sure we validate the tickets before our first park day so we don't waste valuable park time! LOL!

No need to do that. You can just walk over to the TTC. They can do it there. :thumbsup2

We are at CBR now and have been here since Jan 15. We bought our discounted tickets as part of a package including room discount directly from the Disney website. At check in I asked if we needed to validate the tickets before use and our CM checked and said that as far as she could see they were ready to go. We went to EPCOT that first night and sure enough they worked just fine. No validation or passport needed. So it seems that discounted tickets bought as part of a package don't need validation. The last set that we bought on their own needed validation before use. As always YMMV.

Interesting, this is the first time we've had a package with the discounted tickets so it will be interesting to see what they say when we check in to Pop. I know it's not a huge deal to go to guest services at our first park, but not needing to take our passports would be a bonus.

We had a package last summer. We stayed at AKL and went over to AK to activate them. They could not do it at the hotel unfortunately. My sister in law and I went with everyone's passports (we were a group of 9). At first he wanted us all there, but then he just went ahead and did it for us. It sounds like you will all be there if you are going to dinner. Have fun!

This! It’s going to be much less time to walk over to the TTC than to deal with security to board the monorail to get over to the MK gates.

I dont get why they won't validate them at the resorts.....its a pain trying to get into MK waiting to get them validated

I know, when you check in they can see where you're coming from or if not, you'll at least have your passports with you from travelling. No idea why it can't be taken care of at that point.

Wait? I bought the package hotel tickets and quick service I reserved back in July/August
Will I need to validate? I’m so lost and wasn’t planning on a park day before EMH the first morning
