Valet Parking

I have never done valet parking before and wondered whether the charge is for dropping of as well as when you pick it up or is the cost double?

Morning! I believe that the current price for valet parking is around $10.00 Of course you should tip the valet.

This price includes parking & pick-up of car. Just remember to tip on both ends -- get better service if you grease the wheel

So if I drop off and pick up the next day that will be $10 + tips?

Wow, good question. Usually it is 10.00 per day. So, in my mind that would be 20.00 + tips.
They pool the tips at Disney resorts and I was told to only tip one way, but, you need to do what you feel is correct.

Oh at 1st I thought you were only staying in the parking lot ONE day --- if over night is involved, I am not sure how that is handled cause like the other poster mentioned the charge is per day. Huhm .. are you STAYING in the resort? If so it is just cheaper to park yourself and walk to the door.

Just a FYI (not to muddy the waters) IF you are a DVC member staying at a DVC resort, there is no charge for Valet Parking. Also, if you are a DVC member and you park at a DVC resort, there is no charge for Valet Parking.

that is 100% wrong...they do NOT pool tips at WDW(you can find that out by asking)....which is why we tip coming and going....

I did ask and they said yes they do pool tips. This was about a year ago.
The advice I got on tipping came from here. Tipping is a personal decision.
For the record, I usually do tip both ways. It completely depends on the attitude of the valet.

Since four different valet parkers, and two behind the counter people, are the ones who told me tips were not pooled...guess I've been subjected to brainwashing......who would have guessed!!

I did not say you were wrong ( I believe you told me I was totally wrong), I simply told you what I have been told on numerous occasions. Really, there is no reason to be sarcastic about it. This is NOT the first time information was different from person to person.

Another note to Add if you are renting the car check with the fine print as some rentals are no longer covering Valets as an authorised driver .

Just a thing to think about.

Valet is $7.00 per day + tips.

I just paid it last week at the Poly. Its free with DDE card when dining, but not for stays at the resort!!!!
