Valet parking question?

Do you tip on top of the $6 per day charge? Is there any discount for multiple days>?

we only tipped on days that they actually brought the car to us or got the car for us.

if we didn't use the car for, say, 3 days...we didn't tip on top of those 3 days if that's what you are asking.

and no - there isn't a multi-day discount that i'm aware of.

There is no discount for multiple days. I tip on top of the daily charge on each occasion where I have had the car picked up and brought to me. Although many apparently tip $1-$2, I usually tip about $3-$4.

what do they do with your keys. also do they know how to start a diesel correctly?

I hear ya...I can't tell you how many times my DH would say to me "do you have a fiver on you?"

Re: keys - I think they hold them at the valet stand until you ask for them to get your car.

Re: diesel - don't know; is there a trick to this? Given how many cars they park, the answer is probably yes.

well diesels have a wait to start light on them. Not really a big deal but the owners book tells you to wait for the light to go out before starting. That is all.
