We are planning on going to MNSSHP and eating at the GF Cafe beforehand. If we valet park, will it be a problem to just leave our car there until we are leave the party?

We have never had problems valet parking at the GF and going into MK, but it has been a while and I want to make sure nothing has changed.

Nothing has changed. :thumbsup2

So long as you are valet parking, it shouldn't be a problem. You might want to ask how late they are open or how hard it might be to get your car that late.

We valet at the Deluxe resorts for meals and head to the parks every trip, multiple times during the trip. We have always been told it is fine as long as you are valeting and not using the regular parking lot.

Thanks! Have you ever not had a reservation and been allowed to use the valet?

We got turned away from CR in March without a dining reservation & we had planned on trying to eat there but they made us turn around & leave.

Did you tell them you were going to valet park? Were you staying onsite? I think if you already have a parking pass from a resort they are more lenient.

If you have a GFC ADR, you won't be turned away.

I will say though that we had a devil of a time finding a spot at the GF for our 1900PF ADR the night before. I drove through the self-park lot several times (each time having to go back to the guard on duty to explain why we were back yet again) before they finally sent me over to the convention center. They offered to let us valet park, but I was already paying a premium price for breakfast, and just didn't feel like dropping another $20 to park. Especially since we had eaten dinner there the night before and paid $20 to park for dinner then.

They finally pointed us over to the convention center parking where I found one lone parking spot. Hoofing it in from that far out in the June heat was not fun.

I've stopped using self-parking at GF altogether, on its best days its awful.

We were staying insure & had the parking pass in view & told them valet. They were adamant that we couldn't park there.

The guard at CR made me present my printed out conf of my ADR AND my driver's license. My KTTW card with my name on it wasn't good enough.

It was pouring and I had to get out of the car to go in the back (it was our last day, we were going to the airport after Chef Mickey's).

I get that they need to be strict, but it was borderline ridiculous.

Like, my KTTW had my name on it and I had a printed Confirmation of an ADR with my name on it. Sheesh.

How long can you valet park? I'm staying at the GF at the end of the month, driving down with family. If self-park is as much fun as people are saying can I just valet park on the first day of our trip and then pick it up a few days later when we're leaving?

Yes, but you will pay for each day. In my experience, valet parking at your own resort, they will add it to your room bill.
