Valentine's Day AP surprise!

I am sooo glad that I told DH about all the advantages of having at least one AP, especially the possible WDW resort discounts. He and I have never stayed Disney style before, so I thought I would try to sell him on the AP idea. Wasn't sure how he would react to it, but I found out today!

Whenever DH and I have a WDW trip coming up, I always tell him NOT to get me anything for whatever upcoming celebratory occasion; I'd rather use that money to better enjoy our trip. Well, he woke me up soooo sweetly this morning and said softly, "Happy Valentine's Day, Cutie! I've been working on your Valentine's Day present. . ." I said groggily with my eyes still closed, "What is it?"
It was an ANNUAL PASS!!! My eyes must have been as big as Mickey's ears!! That was one of THE beat V-Day gifts ever; he really listened to what I wanted. I really didn't know for sure if it would be worth getting one; he said that we would MAKE it worth the cost of an AP!
Just needed to share my great news!

I know how you feel!

My husband spent several months before Christmas telling me we couldn't afford seasonal passes this year. Then, for Christmas he handed me seasonal passes for our family...all 4 of us.

We went Feb 4,5,6 and are planing to go again in March and maybe June.

Wow, aesalsa!!! That's about the best present I could think of!!!! My DH is a good man, but not very big on presents (thinks they're a waste of money!). DD and I went to WDW on my birthday in Dec. and it would have been great to get passes, or Disney Dollars, or anything, but alas, no!!

Thanks for your comments! My DH is a very generous person. Sounds like some of your DHs think along the same lines (Disney trip stuff for presents). Now I'm going to check out the April, May, June AP Watch thread to see just how soon we can put that AP to use !

That is so GREAT! I will have to hint to my husband for next year! Ha/HA.....Now that you have an AP you will get to WDW more often because the AP gets great discounts on roommore often . Enjoy! This is my first year with an AP and I will have made 3 trips on it by the time it expires. The first trip we made with it was in Nov. 03 and the discount code for AP holders saved me $400, well that in itself was worth having it! I will have an AP every year from now on!

That is SOOO great to hear, hookedondizney!! DH suggested that along with a definite trip in Oct (about a week) and a very possible one in late April-early May (both trips for major paintball tourneys), we can take a couple of 3-day trips!! I am SOOOO excited!
