Vaccination requirement under 5s European sailings

So good news is that vaccination is now approved for 6m to under 5s in the US with shots starting on Tuesday June 21st. Bad news is that this is absolutely not the case in Europe and no one know how long it'll take for the European countries to follow suit. Even after they do, one would still need a minimum of 6 weeks (shot 1 + 4 weeks + shot 2 + 2 weeks) to be considered fully vaccinated. Does anyone know what DCL intends to do (or has anything been announced or shared already) for all the European sailings when a large portion of the guests are Europe based? We are due to sail in September with a 3yo and we are now concerned that we might need to cancel due to lack of vaccination for our daughter in Europe to make her fully vaccinated before the cruise

When Disney has something to announce, you'll see it on their website, it'll be posted here, and you'll get an email if you're on an affected cruise. Until then, all we can do is speculate, which is against the rules here.

DCL hasn’t announced anything yet. If/when they do, I doubt requirements will change before September. (Last time was ~10 weeks after approval forages 5-11 before DCL required.). Even US kids who get their 1st shot this week won’t be fully-vaccinated until mid-Aug. And not all will get it immediately (my state has said maybe next week.). Personally, I think you’ll be ok with a Sept. cruise. Just keep an eye here on DISboards; DCL will likely offer a “free” cancellation period as well.

For what it’s worth, the Pfizer series will take 11 weeks to be considered fully vaccinated. And some states won’t have orders for awhile. So even if it does become a requirement, they would have to give a decent leeway to be put in place.
