Hi,

Welcome to DIS :cool1:

We are in the UK and have just used Dreams Unlimited (one of the DIS sponsers) and found them to very good. They have a very good reputation on here.

I priced up the cruise with DCL and then got a quote from DU - they were a few hundered dollars cheaper than DCL and also gave us $100 onboard credit.

Everything is done by email and I found them to be very quick in replying. I had also contacted a couple of other agents for quotes but they took upto 5 days to come back to me whereas DU replied to every email within 24 hours (most within a few hours).

Hope this helps. PM me if you want anymore info/help.

Hi Barry,

I did check them out, but found them more expensive than booking through DCL. I went to cruisecompare.com and had several TA's get me quotes there. Worked very easyli and fast. Besides that I asked quotes from some specific TA's like DU. In the end I went with Mousefan Travel. Not only did they gave me the lowest quote with a decent OBC, but they were the fastest to answer, the most complete and it felt right. After a quick call (I like to hear a persons voice before doing business with them when it comes to this stuff) I knew enough. I had found my TA.

I even handed over our WDW ressie to her and that speaks volume. I've had another wellknown TA give that a try, but things were done in such an extend they didn't get me a discount that was available and we qualified for, communication felt like being a bother etc. So after that I promised myself no TA no more. Untill you go DCL and want some OBC. I started with the aditude of just booking with them and taking care of everything else but that has changed by now.

I used Vacationstogo once. I have no real complaints with them, but nothing terribly good other than that their site makes it easy to track cruise costs. They used a delivery service that put our documents on our porch (rather than inside the screen door) and they were destroyed by a neighborhood dog! I did insist that VTG cover the cost of replacement.

VTG prices are exactly the same as DCL, and there is no incentive to using them (such as an onboard credit). The reason that VTG looks cheaper is that it doesn't include all the taxes and includes no "extras." If you look up a price on DCL, it will include all taxes, transfers, and insurance (you can then make appropriate clicks and remove the costs of transfers and insurance).

I'd recommend using a TA that offers an onboard credit or other incentive in addition to excellent pricing and service. There are several of these...Dreams Unlimited and All Seas Travel are on that list.
