Just curious...when/if you are not planning a vacation to WDW, where do you like to go and do? Seems like we use to do something different each year but this will be 3rd year in a row to WDW...(Not that I am complaining).

If we can't go to Disney (well, this will be our first Disney trip in 13 years!), we like to visit Great Britain and Ireland. Or something new for us last year was camping as a group with some other families.

We usually head to the beaches of Rhode Island or head to Cape Cod!The kids love going to sleep at night hearing the waves just outside their door, and DH and I are early birds so we love to watch the sun come up!:)

This summer we are headed to Texas to go to the Schlitterbahn WaterPark. We are kinda Disney'd out and wanted a fun yet relaxing vacation.

Bought the airfare yesterday, so the only hurdle that would have stopped us has now been jumped and it is official - we are going to Texas for 10 days late July - early August.

I LOVE to cruise!! We are actually going on a cruise after our week at Disney in TWO weeks. We went on a cruise in October to Bermuda and will be going on another cruise Jan 08.

We are doing lots of camping this year. Other than that we are going back to Disney in September and then leaving there to go down to the Keys for a week stay of relaxation.:thumbsup2

The past few years we have done one Disney trip in the late fall or winter and one family trip over the summer. Last year we drove to the North Carolina coast to visit some friends and spend time at the beach. The year before we drove to the Wisconsin Dells. This year we are just going to a local (four hours away) lake in the middle of nowhere and spending the week in a cabin, playing board games, water skiing, hikes, etc. Next year we are planning on going to Costa Rica but don't have anything booked yet, so we'll see:)

I keep telling my DW that we are going to start alternating WDW and Vegas...but so far we've only alternated between WL and VWL (lol)

This summer we are headed to Texas to go to the Schlitterbahn WaterPark.

:wave2: when you pass by :car: (I live 5 minutes from the 'bahn).

DW & I like to go to Branson, MO on our non-Disney years. Although our kids are now grown, they liked Branson too.

When I don't go to disney (too often) it's because I can't afford it :(

So I take a road trip to niagara falls, Canada .. (going next weekend!!)

I like Chicago, Washington DC, Mackinac City, MI, Civil war battlefields, National Parks. I really want to go to Boston/Salem, MA. We might go out there in September. I really want to go on an Alaskan Cruise.

We like to camp in Minnesota and Wisconsin State parks. We also go to Wisconsin Dells once a year. Usually stay at the Wilderness.

Is there a vacation other than Disney???:lmao: But seriously, my DH and I LOVE to cruise. Going on #6 in October. Traveling with the kids includes staying with my parents in Ocean City, NJ. A free built-in beach house!!! yea! We enjoy camping, too and have been to Niagra Falls.

We head down south to the islands. We go to Bahamas, Cuba, DR, Mexico, ST Maarten, Jamaica and when we have lots of $$$$ we go to Hawaii.

We are going to the "famous" Jersey Shore this year but only because my DH was given a boat, something he always wanted. Something I truly do not enjoy. But I have our DD (who is turning 3 in two weeks) saying that she really wants to go to Disney and hug Mickey. I have been teaching her to give poutty lips and say pleeeeaaassee daddy...am I evil or what?????:rolleyes1 Hey I just want to feel like I am on vacation and last Oct I found out that's only in Disney. Plus what the Jersey shore costs is easily 8 days in Disney.....:goodvibes

Caribbean or Hawaii - and usually kid-free!

The Jersey shore each summer.

Either Ocean City, MD or the Outer Banks. I love Hawaii and I have a timeshare
in West Palm Beach. Visiting Civil War battlefields is very beautiful and relaxing,
believe it or not. Being from the No. Va. area, I have alot of that nearby and
it's wonderful. Then it's BACK TO DISNEY! :thumbsup2

It all started in 1977 for us, first Disney trip and now after 38 plus visits, we've thrown in some Myrtle Beach trips. they were so boring after 2 days, we said never again, disney has all we want and need, we don't even have to go to the parks to enjoy our stay. We used to drive down and spend the first night on the ocean but that was boring too and now we use Amtrak and can't get to the World fast enough. We're in our late 50's, kids are grown and married and we still look forward to 2 trips to WDW every year and get real misty eyed when its time to leave. Its like the commercial, priceless. Others can't figure the draw WDW has on us but we usually stay 38-12 nights and know all the nooks and crannies and discover more each trip that its a fun, relaxing joyful place to be and the other plus is the Disney transportation, we're never in a hurry and riding the boats and buses is a great part of our fun. Not driving for the length of our stay is pure heaven. We do not go during peak periods, always stay deluxe and have AP's so popping into a park for a caseys hot dog or candy apple is sheer heaven for us. I don't think we'll ever tire of Disney and probably never go anywhere else.

"Vacations other than Disney?"

I know all of those words, but they don't make any sense strung together that way. :confused3
